why on Earth would I spend $1800 to check Google Maps and talk to Gemini when my Android phone already does that? also, can’t stand the focus every company has on AI. it isn’t the reinvention of the wheel as they’re selling it to be.

I kinda find it hilarious that people call Zuckerburg a robot, but at every meta connect event he proves hes more human than any of these competitors when on stage and actually attempts to deliver an affordable system. Google, apple, and Samsungs offerings are delivered by the most robotic and boring people I’ve ever seen.

Somehow even more useless than the vison pro😭Shiii Apple looks like a good deal now☠

I didn’t understand why someone would buy this

I bet it has better pass through than apple does.

Showcasing use cases that are more convenient to do on your computer or smartphone, but let’s do it in XR because there isn’t a key feature why this form factor is superior. All I got from this is that it is a watered down and less expensive Apple Vision Pro but a more expensive clone of a Meta Quest. 😅

Why no 4K. Come on, it’s 2025 and it’s not like CNET has to pay for the additional bandwidth.

META is the only one on the right path with ar/vr glasses.

No-one is going to buy this while the rumors of Valve’s new headset drop being imminent are swirling.

Samsung has no pride in original ID 🤡

  16. @GenomiMontavani

    October 22, 2025 at 6:11 pm

I’m so confused what the selling point here is for $1800 that you can’t get with a Quest 3S for $1500 less and it comes with controllers and greater app/game support? You can literally sideload in Android apps too…

  17. @Voidward

    October 22, 2025 at 6:17 pm

This might be the biggest flop I’ve seen Samsung have in while. It’s just a vision pro clone that’s too late, with Gemini shoved into it. There’s no killer feature or innovation here.

Awesome tech that nobody needs. It will loose its novelty within a few months and then be collecting dust on the shelf. The glasses might be more appealing to the masses.
