The Three Words That Saved My Life | Blake Mycoskie | TED

Would you let your friend pay for dinner? #TEDTalks
The check lands on the table. Everyone freezes. Do you let your friend pay and call it a gift? Insist on covering it? Or promise to get the next one? Corner Piece host Sabrina puts Taha, Melissa and the audience to the test, and it turns out “what do we owe each other?” is a…

The Joy of Foraging Your Own Food | Alexis Nikole Nelson | TED
There’s a whole world of food growing right outside our doors — in our backyards, on sidewalks, in the parks we walk through every day — and most of us pass by it without a second glance. Alexis Nikole Nelson wants to change that. A self-described “ethnobotany nerd,” she’s spent years teaching people how to…

What If You Could Read the DNA of Your Future Child? | Noor Siddiqui | TED
For all of human history, a baby’s DNA was determined by chance at conception: the so-called genetic lottery. “That era is over,” says Noor Siddiqui, whose company builds screening tools to read the whole genome of embryos in an effort to give parents more genetic information than standard IVF. She makes the case that this…

Im having a similar moment where I am realising I am enough. The drive for success is strange because I was always chasing something or saying im lole my idols. Now im getting back into the blues properly and enjoying it like I haven’t in years. If success makes you hide from your wounds is it actually success despite fame despite awards?

There’s incredible power in repetition and belief. I was asked do a similar exercise but in my case, I was told to sit still, close my eyes, and keep repeating the phrase ‘GOD LOVES ME’. For almost three weeks, I did this every morning and night. At first, nothing seemed different but then the breakthrough came at the begginning of the fourth week, I began to believe it, and that belief was life‑changing.
I felt unstoppable, with a mindset that I could take on anything. I started pursuing long‑cherished dreams and tackling challenges I once thought were beyond me. And now, I live with the conviction that with God’s backing, I cannot fail. If it worked for me, it can work for anyone willing to commit to doing it. But make sure to keep going until you believe it
I still do it at least three times a week now

You have a traumatic memory from your early childhood that caused a shame response. So the question is what caused it. What experience created this traumatic memory.

We take many different classes in school, but I feel we need a class that teach us the importance of self-love and how to love ourselves, and we need a class that teach us how to flirt and how the mating game works. If we have such classes, that would have saved me decades of trial and error.

So… this Ted Talk is a commercial to sell bracelets? Honestly the talk itself would be great if he didn’t add the whole “And if you buy TWO of these and give one to a friend I think suicide rates will go down!”
Don’t you love when you have a personal epiphany, and immediately find a way to monetize it?

Watching this brought me to tears. A message this raw and real can only come from someone who truly lived it. The realization that you are enough — and the courage to share that journey so openly — is nothing short of remarkable. The world is a better place because of you. 🙏
