ATV remote has always been absolute garbage. I hope they don’t just add a Siri button. We need a complete overhaul with more reliable connectivity.

it’d be cool if the mini could support “surround sound”. so you could put them around your living room (or just behind head), when you want a rad surround sound movie night. as a way to encourage buying half a dozen.

it looks like there are 2 mini’s; a small one and a slightly bigger one

I think I know one person with an apple home device and it’s the apple tv box. I have never met any person with any homepod. I can’t see this being a big deal

Wouldn’t it just be better if your iPad could sense when it’s home and then because that HomeHub display whenever it’s on the same wifi and can be dismissed whenever?

I do not trust the home electronic eco systems! Way too easy to hack into turning your home against you!! Younger thieves love the new technology and can break into homes and cars way easier now days! They have all forgotten how to pick a basic lock😂😂! Go old school it confuses them all 😂😂😂!

I turned off the Siri AI beta. It’s horrible and gets confused when I ask simple questions. I reverted back to the OG Siri.

HomePod/HomeHub with arm and screen huh? That’s $699 gone straight out of the door with the increased AppleTax in 2026/2027…

Steve Jobs hated games. Always, always, always hated games.
The Apple TV could have been competition for Xbox and Playstation by now if Apple had made it any kind of priority. It’s really the only reason to have one instead of using the built-in smart TV Apple TV app. The reason I’ve never adopted one is I keep running out of HDMI ports. Playstation, Xbox, Swtich… oops! Out of ports! You’d think in this day and age Apple of all companies would be pursuing wireless Thunderbolt to get rid of ports forever and we could finally have as many devices as we want.

I do struggle to see why I would buy a Home Pod Mini for $130 when I just got an Amazon Echo Dot for $40 with a galaxy design.

I for one am very excited for a HomePad or whatever they called the device with a screen. My Amazon Echo Show is trash. The Echo constantly shows ads, news content I don’t want and didn’t ask for, and never seems to provide useful information.

Hardware refresh is nice but I have to wonder when Apple Intelligence starts actually making money. A serious home hub would be the first real proof. Watching this one closely.

I’m sticking with old Siri for now at least – the AI bloat drove me to distraction. When I want time I DO NOT need to know day, week, month, year etc twenty seconds after asking. Also old Siri has become much much better at handling music requests. And the ‘station just for you’ suddenly knows me oh so well…
next week could be perfect opportunity to stock up on used HomePod mini… immediately thinking garage, bird feeder, post box, lawn mower

Ha… well, the “new” Siri is sooooo slow and so cumbersome (“you’ll have to unlock your iPhone first”)… that by the time a command is fulfilled… you’ll want to change your mind. I love your videos tho!!!!

might as well put a little screen on the Apple TV my bang and Olufsen, will always deliver better sound than the HomePod. Just need the practical center stage camera.

Oh, this is absolutely my kind of Apple event.
I’m really curious about the new HomePods and especially the home hub. Apple has always been a huge inspiration for us at Pazzaria Productions, so anytime they start talking about making the home smarter and more connected, I’m listening.
If they can make all of this work together really seamlessly, we are quite in! 🏠
