Excellent perspective on education. Stephen Nobles and philosopher Ted Lasso have it nailed coming from a former special education teacher. Those kids and I were allies, not enemies. And they were the most reliable people in the building.

I am 72, and I have remained a curious human all of my conscious life: about people, about the earth and all its creatures, how things are and could be, about the Universe and how it is … it has enriched me constantly. I am now completely absorbed by and with children.😊

Six gifted middle schoolers are invited to a mysterious island in the Caribbean for what they believe is a prestigious summer camp. They soon discover, however, that the camp is a ruse orchestrated by Dr. Lullah, a mad scientist who resides on the island. Unable to leave for three months, the students must navigate the island’s dangerous flora and fauna, much of which has been created by Lullah.

Where you live shapes your relationships, your emotions and even how long you live, says community designer Zach DeBoer. After studying what a century of building cities around cars has done to downtowns in the US, he turned to lessons from some of the most walkable, carefully designed streets in the country: the ones inside Disney theme parks. With ideas ranging from narrower roads to buildings that pull you around the next corner, he offers a practical guide to turning ordinary downtowns into magical places people want to explore.
