    Great overview.

Not keeping space gray is an odd choice. Should have axed starlight or silver for the new blue.

    • @celestialbby98

      March 5, 2025 at 11:29 am

Silver is a classic MacBook color so they did right to not get rid of it. They now have two blue MacBooks so they should’ve gotten rid of midnight and kept the space gray.

    • @hofkingpin3216

      March 5, 2025 at 12:13 pm

starlight and silver looks better than space grey tho, if anything midnight needs to go

I’m getting rid of my space gray M3 MBA specifically because of the color. Always grungy and dirty looking. I regret getting it.

    • @Savvysnek

      March 5, 2025 at 5:01 pm

@@celestialbby98 silver and sky blue are way more visually similar than midnight though, even if midnight is technically a very dark shade of blue.

The new Ultra CPU is M3 not M4? Makes no sense

Is it worth it to upgrade to M4 Air from M2 Air? I think ill just wait until it stops getting macOS upgrades

256 GB of storage STILL…give me a break.

  8. @elalemanpaisa

the m2 has the old media engine without av1.. so i would upgrade from the m2.. but yes from the m3 not really the m4 is rather underwhelming

Im looking to buy a macbook, but im totally co fused by the different models, im studying autocad and 3d design/modeling, which one is best for that, ive just started my studies so i know i need a better computer, but choosing an option is confusing, and i dont want to spend thousands if i dont have to, seeing as apple charge like £200+ per upgrade option, it can get expensive pretty quickly, especially in the uk, any advice would be good.

    • @FirstLast-jd2ql

      March 5, 2025 at 1:39 pm

Mac isnt the one for you. I would recommend going with lenovo thinkpad series.

  11. @tmat90-o8t

    March 5, 2025 at 1:16 pm

Sick and tired of the MacBook Air boring colors. There’s already a midnight blue so why add sky blue? SMH A pink, orange, or purple would be good.

Not upgrading my M1 MacBook Air until Apple brings ProMotion to the Air lineup

  13. @Devdev009

    March 5, 2025 at 1:35 pm

I just bought a M4 mini Pro… although I think that should be alright for me. I was initially waiting on another studio, but needed to replace sooner

Dear cnet, not a single post about framework’s recent releases / announcements, Why?

  20. @joeblack1878

Yes, that does mean there’re not worth talking about. Lol

  21. @hectornevarez6804

    March 5, 2025 at 6:14 pm

You know what now that I think about it, my theory as to why Apple decided to make this move is to differentiate between the Mac Pro in terms of both price structure and performance. Maybe will see M4 Ultra released on the Mac Pro in WWDC 2025 along with updates to both Studio and Pro XDR Displays?

In the past when both Mac Studio and Mac Pro shared the same top of the line chip set which was M2 Ultra, its like why spend thousands of dollars more on a Mac Pro with M2 Ultra when you can save thousands of dollars and get an M2 Ultra Mac Studio with the same performance. Now if the rumors are correct, the pricing structure will make more sense, for thousands of dollars more you’re getting an M4 Ultra in a Mac Pro with much better performance over the M3 Ultra Mac Studio

  22. @iblackfeathers

    March 5, 2025 at 6:16 pm

3:16 i’m waiting for the m4 chip for astronauts and bowlers

  23. @wanderingquestions7501

    Seriously, a 256 GB SSD!

  25. @JourneyStand
