not a bad talk but why does love have to be “exclusive” or monogamous? why can’t love be socially expansive?

This was such a thoughtful breakdown of what actually sustains long-term love. What stood out to me is the emphasis on consistency and small promises kept over time, because trust is rarely built in big moments, it’s built quietly in everyday behavior. The idea of compassion instead of over-identifying is powerful too, since relationships need steadiness, not two people drowning in the same emotion. Real love often looks less like intensity and more like reliability.

Attraction isn’t just physical it’s about being drawn to someone’s soul, their presence, the way they make you feel seen. In my last relationship, the physical attraction was there, but the deeper connection was missing. Book Hollow Intimacy helped me understand why I felt so alone even when we were together. Without the other ingredients like respect, trust, compassion, shared vision, attraction eventually fades into emptiness.
