Is the watch 5 (not the pro) worth it?

In order to save the economy, everyone must go out and buy a $1500 folding phone and sign up for 10 streaming services. Get a $6 coffee every morning in your new ev, throw away all your perfectly good hd tv’s and buy bigger 8k tv’s… that’s really what these companies think

      Okay..?

      August 11, 2022 at 8:41 pm

Yeah if you take the world literally.

      Thankfully it’s a choice.
Nobody is pointing a gun at your head and telling you to buy these things if you really want one you will get one, if you don’t want one
      you won’t.
      simple as.

I’m really disappointed they removed the hall effects rotating bezel

I’m really not happy with the battery on my watch 4 classic 42mm, and because the pro lacks the rotating bezel I’m buying a watch 4 classic 46mm instead of the watch5 pro.

      August 11, 2022 at 9:22 pm

      hall efects?

    • vall 77

      August 12, 2022 at 6:56 pm

@Mr. Serejo it is a type of sensor or switch that doesn’t need to touch anything design principle depended the flow current being affected by a magnetic field perpendicular to the current in The Wire or circuit.

@Vivian Mason I currently have the Galaxy watch 3 and it’s been working really great.
I’ve been using it Non-Stop battery can last usually a day and a half or two, and a week or more on standby mode.

PLz Compare Galaxy Watch5 44 vs Watch5 Pro vs Galaxy Watch4 Classic 46, OLED screen screen size?
Also can you install the Watch5 Pro tracking applications on the Watch4 Classic 46 and Watch5 44 ?!
Watch4 Classics with rotating bezel vs Watch5 Pro ,, I can see the useless black area around the screen in 5 Pro which might be the space used for rotating bezel in 4 Classis … So why they removed it ? I would welcome bigger OLED screen in 5 Pro instead of the rotating bezel of 4 Classis in that space !!!

Compared to my Frontier they look rather cheap.

    • J Green

      August 12, 2022 at 3:45 am

Your frontier mid battery might disagree

    • BILLIE NOMATES

      August 12, 2022 at 7:39 am

@J Green I am not sure what you are saying. If you are trying to say the battery on my Frontier is not very good now, several years on. The battery on my Frontier lasts between 4 and 5 days. Compared to my Apple Watch 5 that is lucky to last 24 hours at a stretch.

As to build quality the Frontier S3 was, in my opinion, built to a higher standard than these latest PUCK style and plastic looking latest retierations.

All said and done bang for the buck the Frontier is still a better watch, in my opinion.

@BILLIE NOMATES Still have the overheating problem on LTE version just like the 4 version? Anyone knows?

    August 11, 2022 at 11:46 pm

    They look cheap tbh..

      August 12, 2022 at 10:32 am

the strap makes all the difference

    • Francesco B.

      August 12, 2022 at 3:15 pm

And the color too. Black doesn’t look premium

  8. ShawnTD

    August 12, 2022 at 12:59 am

Aint worth the upgrade honestly. Basically a bit longer battery and sapphire glass

I just compared Watch 5 vs 5 Pro vs 4 Classis on GSMARENA
they have exactly same hardware and screen size + Thermometer that will cost you 5$ from pharmacy.
They made new OS for new ones and added some extra gps tracking software to 5 Pro
I think I’m going for Watch 5 (which exact regular 4) or 4 classics

    • Edgard Will

      August 13, 2022 at 12:06 am

      True!

    August 12, 2022 at 2:10 am

No rotating Bezel is actually a downgrade, I’ll rather stay with my Watch 3

    • Mannix Lopez

      August 12, 2022 at 5:07 am

Same, I’ll stay with my watch 4 classic

    • kyjoe9 videos

      August 12, 2022 at 7:21 am

I am keeping my watch 3 but trading my watch 4 classic toward a watch 5 pro

    • AstralMirage635

      August 13, 2022 at 2:52 pm

Agreed, watch4 classic is a very well made watch already and the only real benefit you get upgrading is an extra 10 hours of battery which is not something everyone needs to worry about. I charge all my devices at night everyday and i dont mind the battery life of the watch4 classic at all

    August 12, 2022 at 4:32 am

What size is the watch 5 pro band? 22 or 24mm, I would like to upgrade the band to a metal band to give it a more classic look.

    • mackdaddyhockey

      August 12, 2022 at 7:00 pm

Also what is the band size for the watch 5 44mm?

  12. Shane W

    August 12, 2022 at 4:39 am

    Ugly junk

  13. Kaly

    August 12, 2022 at 4:57 am

Apple watch 7 > Galaxy watch 5 not pro

    • Edgard Will

      August 13, 2022 at 12:07 am

      Not really

    • Kaly

      August 13, 2022 at 5:32 am

      @Edgard Will why?

  14. Mutch Louis

    August 12, 2022 at 5:17 am

I wanna know how good the body composition meter is, and will it work with a phone (S22 plus) that is not from the same region. Like the watch from the US but the phone is from the EU or india etc…

  15. Johnson McBig

    August 12, 2022 at 6:40 am

doesn’t even try to compete with the apple watch…

    August 12, 2022 at 10:14 am

Please let us know if any features don’t work when paired with non-Samsung phone.

  17. Ezra Pardede

    August 12, 2022 at 10:32 am

watch “classic” name rings better and more unique, than just making everything that’s more expensive “Pro”

  20. Francesco B.

    August 12, 2022 at 3:15 pm

As a Samsung fanboy, the pro looks ugly

  21. A.C.M

    August 12, 2022 at 6:54 pm

I like the digital bezel no issues here
