Wow, that is so cool that it has brightness control on the remote. I wasn’t expecting that. I just really wish we had a warm light feature on the Kindle basic model.

@nat4465 same here. The light isn’t even white, it’s blue. 😭😭

2026 and no warm lighting for $150+ is robbery.

    • @barbeld9387

      October 3, 2026 at 6:51 am

@JM811Cars and that’s the version with ads. Without ads it cost another 20

@JM811Cars if they going to add warm light and water proofing then it will be more expensive and there will be less people buying paperwhite. Why are people still not understanding that.

That is a fair point regarding the limitations of digital content ownership. 👍

How much RAM does a Kindle have to justify such a high price? 😂😂😂

is page refresh on in this video?

  14. @tkm3294

    October 2, 2026 at 11:24 am

The basic Kindle is robbery with no waterproofing or warm light for $150. Get a Kobo. There is no reason to get a Kindle for that price when a Kobo Clara costs $10 more and you get a warm light and it’s waterproof, plus you actually get ownership of your books unlike Kindle

  15. @noefvon

    October 2, 2026 at 12:42 pm

What is the difference from 2024 kindle?

  16. @adaobieisreading

    October 2, 2026 at 1:11 pm

beautiful but no warm light at that price point is disgusting

Is the ube more of a darker purple like. Cool tone purple?

  18. @VitorFernandes-z2k6x

That screen looks horrible. Way worse than my 7 year old kindle. Looks blue.

  19. @SloppyJoeNY

    October 3, 2026 at 7:26 am

Remember when they always had a basic model for under $100? Now I just use the Kindle app on my phone now if I use it at all. Starting to prefer Audible now anyway.

Learn more about the Dell XPS 14:

Can the Dell XPS 14 last a full work day on one charge? In this morning-to-evening run, the 14-inch Copilot+ PC stayed unplugged from 8:32 AM to 7:30 PM through 4K video editing, video calls and a 40 GB file transfer and finished with more than 25% battery left.

BATTERY CHECK-INS
8:32 AM: 100% (4K video export in the park)
10:57 AM: 85% (video meeting)
1:45 PM: 75% (40 GB file transfer)
4:25 PM: 65% (nearly 8 hours of editing, file transfer and meetings)
7:30 PM: 45% (end of workday)

DELL’S BATTERY RATINGS
Up to 31 hours of video streaming (2K display, 250 nits)

DELL XPS 14 SPECS

Thickness: 14.62 mm
Screen size: 14 inches
Processor: Intel Core Ultra with Windows 11
