Many of us are entering the new year with a similar goal — to build community and connect more with others. To kick off season five of How to be a Better Human, a podcast from TED, Priya Parker shares ideas on how to be the host with the most. An expert on building connection, Priya is the author of “The Art of Gathering: How We Meet and Why It Matters.” Whether it’s a book club, wedding, birthday or niche-and-obscurely themed party, Priya and Chris talk about how to create meaningful and fun experiences for all of your guests — including yourself.

Mon copain a essayé de recréer une scène d’un film d’amour où ils s’embrassent sous la pluie. Cela s’est terminé par une glissade sur la chaussée mouillée et un rire hystérique????

What do you do when you used to belong to a group (but you didn’t create it); you can’t go anymore; you don’t have the money, space or energy to host; and you don’t know of any groups like that one that you *can* go to? 😢

    • @celestialcircledance

      January 31, 2025 at 7:14 am

I’m definitely not going to be starting any groups either. Nothing ever lasts forever and time heals all wounds . In the meantime it may be important for you not to put all your eggs in one basket and find other things to do to fill your time and interests .

LLMs may have kicked off this AI boom, but the ceiling is closer than the hype suggests. As models run out of text data to train on, the companies and investors paying attention are already moving on. The next wave isn’t better chatbots; it’s machines that can understand the physical world. Luma AI, the Bay Area lab that raised over $1.4 billion from a16z, Nvidia, and Amazon, is betting on exactly that.

On episode of TechCrunch’s Equity podcast, we’re bringing you a conversation Rebecca Bellan sat down with Amit Jain, co-founder and CEO of Luma AI, at Web Summit Qatar. Together, the pair dug into where the next trillion-dollar AI opportunity actually gets built, and whether the companies chasing it even know what they’re building yet.
