Confidence doesn’t come before action — it comes from taking action, says business leader Kat Cole, who worked her way up from waitress to CEO of a global health company. She presents a simple yet powerful practice called the “hot shot rule” to help you step into a leadership mindset, break free from inertia and take decisive action when it matters most. Kat Cole introduces the “hot shot rule” to drive leadership growth and confidence through action. This practice involves regularly envisioning someone admired in your role, identifying improvements, acting quickly, and sharing the process with others.

Previously called “fake it till you make it” Amway and all MLM fly-by-night companies teach this as part of envisioning your dreams. Its for weak-minded people who won’t take time to address the power-seeking monster and narcissistic tendencies we all have. Hedonism is not the way.

i kept seeing people mention Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane all over and honestly? i thought it was just another scammy manifestation thing. but after seeing it pop up so much (and being lowkey desperate lol) i finally gave in. glad i did. it wasn’t just the usual “believe and hope harder” talk. especially part 2 of the book — the stuff about body language and how your energy shows up physically — that was wild. if you’re skeptical like i was, i get it. but honestly it explained stuff i never even thought about before.

i literally almost didn’t even give Vibrations of Manifestation a chance because i’ve read so many “life-changing” books that just said "trust the universe" and nothing else lol. but a few tarot readers i follow kept mentioning it and curiosity got the better of me. part 1 was already solid but part 2?? the body language + energy interaction stuff?? no one else is talking about that. it’s not about forcing, it’s about getting your whole self actually lined up. feels way less exhausting now tbh.

  18. @geetanishad1977

    April 28, 2025 at 12:48 pm

not gonna lie, when i first saw people talking about Vibrations of Manifestation i figured it was just another gimmick. been burned too many times by pretty covers and big promises lol. but after the fifth person i trust mentioned it, i caved. and honestly? part 2 especially opened my eyes. it’s not just about what you think, it’s how your whole energy field comes across without you realizing. idk if it’s for everyone, but if you’ve been stuck doing all the “right things” and nothing clicks, it might explain why.

  19. @RupanjalAli-hr7gc

    April 28, 2025 at 12:49 pm

honestly didn’t expect much when i finally checked out Vibrations of Manifestation (by alex lane) after seeing it mentioned on like every other abundance/tarot video i watch. figured it would be another “positive vibes only” kind of thing but it actually broke down how your energy interacts with the field and how even tiny subconscious patterns show up. part 2 hit different too. the way it explains how your body language + micro energy shifts affect what you attract?? it’s the part no one tells you about. glad i gave it a shot tbh. it’s different.

She has a bit manic vibe about her (I wonder if she’s actually _happy_ with her life or if she’s stuck in a cycle of perpetualy chasing her “better self” because she still feels “not good enough” despite all her achievements). That being said, the point about building confidence through action is spot on – so thanks for that!

The problem with self help talks in for profit entities is no matter how confident you are, how many positive things you do for self care, if you’re company isn’t making money then it’s all for nothing. It all comes down to profit over people. No matter how much you try to sugar coat it and make it look and feel good. Sure, good things can come from the company and people can benefit, but only to a point. Once the company starts to lose money, people lose.

LLMs may have kicked off this AI boom, but the ceiling is closer than the hype suggests. As models run out of text data to train on, the companies and investors paying attention are already moving on. The next wave isn’t better chatbots; it’s machines that can understand the physical world. Luma AI, the Bay Area lab that raised over $1.4 billion from a16z, Nvidia, and Amazon, is betting on exactly that.

On episode of TechCrunch’s Equity podcast, we’re bringing you a conversation Rebecca Bellan sat down with Amit Jain, co-founder and CEO of Luma AI, at Web Summit Qatar. Together, the pair dug into where the next trillion-dollar AI opportunity actually gets built, and whether the companies chasing it even know what they’re building yet.
