    Basically a cheaper Surface.

The biggest problem is you have to look down to use it. Your neck and in a horrible ergonomic position.

So good to finally be getting ChromeOS tablets. Come on Samsung!

  17. Bradavon

    September 8, 2021 at 4:31 pm

Let’s hope the 8GB RAM model isn’t a big jump in price because for 270 (Duet) 4GB is acceptable but when get over 400 I’d expect 8GB. 8GB is the ChromeOS sweet spot.

anybody who wants my first duet Chromebook? lol this is perfect

  21. Jeremy Rowland

    September 8, 2021 at 7:35 pm

Still love my Duet (my first Chromebook.) It has its issues; slow processor, floppy hinge which makes it useless to use on your actual lap, slightly washed-out colors, mediocre speakers (my Pixel 3 XL phone sounds far better.) But it’s the perfect size for occasional media consumption and couch productivity and the battery lasts forever, and did we mention under $300? I wasn’t really looking to upgrade but I just may if I find a good deal this fall.

Why would I get a oled screen on a Chromebook?

    • Andrew

      September 9, 2021 at 3:12 am

The same reason you’d get an oled screen on any device.

    • Federico Liguori

      September 9, 2021 at 9:25 am

      Netflix? YouTube?

    • andyH_England

      September 9, 2021 at 10:27 am

You will have to get use to it? OLED is now the cheaper display option as miniLED takes over as the pro choice?

    • NoFreedoms

@andyH_England so you are ok with burn in?

I had a Lenovo laptop fail on mean earlier this year and bought the original Chromebook just to take some certification tests…and honest it’s a solid machine. I don’t use it much anymore because I got the Legion 5 17 and use an iPad but I still take it with me in a small bag just in case I need that laptop like experience.

Samsung’s Galaxy Chromebook has an OLED panel, but I too draw a blank on what CrOS devices have OLED screens other than these two. It’s rare.
