Not as far as you think. In ten years these things will be as ubiquitous as smartphones. Tesla aren’t the only ones doing this. It’s happening whether we like it or not. To what end, that is the real question.

As with ALL electronics, I WAIT at least 4-5 YEARS BEFORE I PURCHASE. That way I’m NOT the BETA TESTER and by then the MAJORITY of the KINKS & PROBLEMS have been worked out. SO I GET A MORE ADVANCED VERSION AT A SUPER LOW PRICE!!!😊 Think about all the people that ran out and bought VCRs for $1400 dollars. By the time I bought one they were $300-$200 high-end I got a $169 one on SALE at Walmart for $99. Worked PERFECTLY for over 18 years.

If you wait 10 years, the robots will be building each other for free, which eliminates the huge employment costs of paying humans. Then the robots will mine the raw minerals for free. That will drastically cut costs again. They will run and manage the infrastructure for free. Another huge human cost eliminated. Then you’ll only be paying for Elon’s trillion dollar bonus each year.

Currently, humanoid robots do not do enough stuff to warrant spending $20,000. And there is at least a dozen countries around the world with more advanced robots and significantly lesser costs to buy. Even electric cars have moved past TESLA from other automobile companies. Elon sells the future better than anyone, but he comes up short when it comes to delivering on a promise.
