What I want is the ability to address the members of Democratic Party and Democratic officials about recruiting Anti-Trump Republicans to join the Democratic Party and shifting our message to a more moderate view. The current Democratic Party only caters to a minority of the US population, which is why they lost the last election. By changing to a more moderate view and adding in the Anti-Trump Republicans, we can then have the majority needed to overcome Trump. Hmm American producer are not able to produce big quality products. 😂 Italian and in general European stay afloat for big quality production, USA sel hig quantités of cheap produits and china produce and sell almost huge quantities of rubbish. Whit this market position? Is always not a good strategy because they are the one that have the most impact on price.

Most are correct analysis that Trump execution is completely flawed and actually pro china. However, he made up lots of lies… iPhone isn’t completely moving out of china to India. What a joke. India cannot even achieve 20% of iPhone volume next year. It will take a decade if ever to be able shift the supply chain. In fact, India is largely assembling all the parts already done by china factories today. Most factories in Vietnam, Mexico, Indonesia are Chinese owners too. Lmao

Tariffs are practically always a blunt instrument even in their most refined & sophisticated form. Claimed objectives of balance & equity with tariffs are easily rendered less than real viewing the situation(s) as it really is. Q: How do tatiffs solve any problems related to theft of intellectual property? Q: How do tariffs allow for ostensible differences in individual product productivity & profitability? Are we comparing high margin products like APPLE with low margin items like toys from China? Matching “dollar for dollar” in trade balance simply does not work in any equitable fashion for anyone. Being from the University of California system; we are extremely surprised that anyone is actually listening to Professor Peter Navarro [AKA: “Ron Nava”]

The end of US economic leadership in the world has been coming. It’s just that the end has come so chaotically and cruelly. Perhaps that is the only way it could happen. Most presidents ( Reagan to Biden) seeing the amount of suffering world wide with any change in US economic policy would baulk at making the required changes. A lot of false narratives here, the Global South are the fastest growing economies and the Wesyern countries are in recession or at zero growth…these are facts reported by the IMF !!! US economy contracted in Q1 2025!! Also, Trump already blinked, he removed those 145% tariffs on Smartphones, Computers and Electronics imported from China and those items account for over 40% of exports by China to U.S. The other mis-leading quote, is he does not point out the damage these tariffs will have on US economy as Consumption accounts for 68% of US economy and when that drops, US goes into recession !!!!!

Notice Biden was full on protectionist with CHIPS act — which should have propped up Intel but they never got a single DOLLAR until the last week of Bidens admin. Notice Biden was blocking China from getting AI chips. These are Trump policies. Auto-tariffs were the actual additional blunder with Trump, but he backed off some-what on those.
The tech-companies / old-media are largely in control of good news / bad news going to our devices. Apple & Google and old media to a lesser extent completely control it, and they pick and choose which companies succeed or not. These companies effectively are insider traders and market manipulators who profit off volatility.
The public should know that AI will promote a UBI economy — this safety net sustains Open Source and Open Data value from far more individuals than current. Tech-companies cannot compete with this model in technology, and we won’t have to work as much for them when we realize this.
Our current industry does not even let ideas from their own employees shape the products. Our new society will be far more open to that. There’s very little creativity seen in Silicon Valley, just top-heavy management taking input from almost nobody, relatively speaking. Letting people feel empowered to shape anything they use is an uplifting concept, and one we need now. IP rights can be modeled to be far more fair than they are with intelligent modelling — notice we cannot hide that if its open source! Trump hasn’t “moved” the Ukrainians to “support” his position, he’s extorted them to abide by his diktats. That Bremmer seems genuinely blind to the difference tells you all you need to know about his analysis.
