Nature has many ways of storing carbon dioxide. One is by turning it into solid form that can lock CO2 away for centuries, but this option takes a lot of time. Scientists have found ways to replicate and expedite this process, and one company is taking it a step further by making concrete that could transform the construction industry from one of the world’s largest climate emitters to a carbon sink.

Great to see this kind of new sustainable concrete being developed, if it’s really works, will be a game changer for the sustainable construction 🏗️.
Great video keep it up 🤟

There is no climate problem with cement! Climate change models have been proven wrong time after time.

This is a little bit of a misnomer. Not all the future projections are correct but that doesn’t mean climate change isn’t happening. Just looking at fires, local temperatures, hurricanes, and flooding frequency, it’s pretty clear the climate is changing.

I’ve looked over many of the older predictions from the IPCC and in general they track pretty well, keeping in mind they always made several trend predictions based on potential long term strategies impact on warming-in my experience people like you look at the worst case scenario prediction, which the IPCC always explains is unlikely but it created for illustrative and comparative purposes, see that it didn’t reflect what happened and declare the whole endeavor worthless, signalling profound ignorance of the scientific process and purpose of these predictions and models.
We have robust readings of atmospheric CO2 levels and isotopic analysis conforms the lions share of the new CO2 in our air is from fossil fuels we’ve burned. CO2’s ability to insulate the atmosphere is very well understood physical science, and that doesn’t even get into its current role in the rapid acidification of the ocean, which is putting more and more strain on ocean ecosystems that undergird much of life on earth. This hand waving of obvious material reality in favor of a retreat into vapid denialism that engages only shallowly with the actual facts is strikingly similar to the lengthy industry-supported conservative project of opposing secondhand smoking protection laws-in many cases the same ghouls that did that monstrous work have now pivoted into supporting the denial movement with the backing of major fossil fuel interests.
