iphone looks better in video in auto mode. but shooting in manual mode, galaxy ultra comes up with better video and photos. iphone is better in stabilization but it has serious lens reflection mess.

I agree on everything you said except for stabilization. Samsung absolutely rocks with their stabilization on their rear cameras.

    It might destroy iphone camera
But it cannot beat iphone in video despite having 8k

If you always edit your photos pop the S21 Ultra in 12 bit raw mode and boom, your gripe about more natural shots – and ultimately the ability to edit said photos in post – becomes way easier. You’ll get tons of information in the shot and can edit away to get the perfect color, saturation, white balance, etc.

Being a software feature there is no added hardware component for space zoom that will increase the cost. So I don’t see any problem in samsung keeping it

Wow those S21 Ultra shot looks so nice!!! It’s on my list for my next phone.

Very difficult to believe there is not ice and/or snow everywhere in Edinburgh this time of year. I remember very cold and dreary winters with very dim and short days. Back then, coal soot was everywhere.

I have the 11 pro max and I ❤️ it. Takes great photos and amazing video. However the zoom capability of the phone is always the weakness. This is why I’m buying the s21 Ultra as I want that extra capability. In my opinion the IPhone is the winner on video clearly, and other than the zoom the differences on the camera it really is down to choice. I believe the review here is pretty fair.

Apple will stubbornly stick with its 2.5x zoom for its IP 13, 14 and so on. Apple knows what’s best for its fans.

not too much ultra destroy the 12 pro max because the 12 pro is so powerfull camera software also can on par with larger sensor 108mp

  20. Blue Gene

    January 24, 2021 at 8:00 pm

I would advise reviewers to do the camera review after the software has been updated. Samsung always releases an update for the camera after the initial launch. I have understood that the coming update will improve the camera even more! Many reviewers have thrashed the S20 Ultra, but the camera updates have made a significant difference. Sadly, not many reviewers are reflecting this aspect of the S20 Ultra.

Take away your apple fanboyism … The real deal is the s21 ultra is just way way more flexible . Remember color tone is very subjective but what’s not subjective is image sharpness. The ultra just has way more to work with including 12 bit raw … In a phone

  24. Stone cold

    January 24, 2021 at 11:32 pm

Most of the reviewers said s21 ultra has better natural looking photo.

Destroy? Lol, every year, Samsung wish their flagship phone sell as much as the new iphone 🤣🤣🤣

  35. AllGood

Heading Should say it destroys the Iphone in 2 ways, zoom and macro. For my application – the macro is even more impressive than the zoom.

Real photographers can care less about cell phone cameras. 12 bit raw on the ultra is why I think the s21 takes the cake

  39. Panos

    January 26, 2021 at 1:37 pm

Personally i prefer the shots taken by Samsung. It’s the first time for me to get the impression of unnatural shots from iphone compared to S21. Could you please investigate more….i think Samsung made a better camera this time.

Sorry but I would break every Apple an Samsung phone I could get my hands on. Overpriced cameras with some phone usage. Samsung aka the Apple of the Android world.. Apple and Samsung phones I stay far away from. I’ll stick with my LG V-series phones. Because them are the phones were the real bang for your buck are. The phone that packs real features for real prices. Proving that Samsung’s bogus “Cutting Corners” for cheaper phones is BS.. With LG you really don’t get anything like Samsung’s new Galaxy S21+ ripoff phone that cost $1,000 for 98.99% the same thing as the S21 that’s $800.. Then you’ve got the LG V70 that’s coming out for $700 that has just as many features as Both S21/+ and the same screen size as the $1,200 S21 Ultra.. But I guess I have just enough money to keep my sense.. I would get Apple or Samsung if I had more money than sense

DONT MISLEAD THE VIEWER WITH SUCH HEADLINES.
Only that 10x zoom is a good feature. Apart from that, the iPhone destroys the competition! No argument.

    • Kevin Hellalong

      January 28, 2021 at 3:37 pm

Apple doesn’t destroy the competition in terms of camera Quality.

    • Arjun Ambarnath

      January 28, 2021 at 4:21 pm

@Kevin Hellalong Seriously? Apple’s photographs are the most true to life. Their pure view camera technology sourced from Nokia’s division a few years ago was the real game-changer. It’s better to accept than argue about Apple’s superiority in the camera department. More features (like in other flagships) doesn’t mean a better camera.

    • Kevin Hellalong

      January 28, 2021 at 4:31 pm

@Arjun Ambarnath Theres been several videos online between the new samsung and Apple phones indicating that Samsung has improved this “feature” in their auto camera mode. Theres literally videos where reviewers are saying the photo quality is more realistic in certain aspects for both phones.

Also, you can take 12 bit raw photos on samsung and get that natural look also.

  43. Jeeva Shan

    January 28, 2021 at 12:36 pm

So ironic it is, talkin’ about videos and camera pics but uploaded that video in 15fps… BS!

  44. Mr2pint

    January 28, 2021 at 7:12 pm

Samsung simply can’t do video or still photos properly their zoom lens is the only trick 😜
