Why would anyone buy this? Moto is great with their $300 or less range phones, but I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

@MI TWEAKZ This is not sponsored, a sponsorship has to be declared or it would be illegal, also CNET mostly just picks the hottest devices and reviews them.

      @Nothing oh, yes… it’s called “review units” FGS …

And it probably won’t see Android 13 if it comes pre-installed with Android 12 since that counts as it’s “one OS upgrade”

No NFC for a US market phone? I do understand that Motorola has to cut corners to appeal to different demographics though. Maybe a phone for kids or for much older people who never use it? From this omission i think this is not a phone targeted to the masses.

Lack of nfc is very annoying.

@PunyMonkey Totally agree with you. Huge failure by Motorola.

I’m ok with my $499 Razr 5G. I plan to only use flip phones for now on. Even the 10% bigger battery on the Flip 4 won’t convince me to ditch my Flip 3. It’s a long process just customizing everything and wanting it perfect.

I got the moto g power 2019 and it’s sad how much better it is than current moto offerings. dual speakers, ultra wide camera lense, full HD resolution and a Qualcomm chipset. I am looking to upgrade but with the sad moto line up might have to switch back to Samsung

  11. FubarMike

    May 19, 2022 at 7:59 pm

The samsung will have even less storage to use out of the 128GB it has since samsung’s software is more bloated.

This model fell out of my pocket. Screen shattered and there was no replacement to be found for screen. Good thing i had insurance and got refund. Very fragile screen.

This is straight Garbage. I bought the new Moto g 5g 2021 6 month’s ago for only $235 which is almost $200 less than this current one. Mine has snapdragon 750, 6+128 with sd card slot and 48+13 mp camera. What an amazing deal I’ve got. What an disappointing this is

Why are manufacturers and customers always so concerned about the Camera resolution on their cellphone? Are customers just buying into pointless hype? 50MP is a really exceptional camera.
If you’re a YouTuber or photographer, you will need to buy real professional equipment. I think I speak for 98% of users when I say the processor speed, screen, wifi, and quality of calls is more important and manufacturers should stop focusing on how many megapixels the Camera has.
I wish manufacturers would just concentrate on building a phone with exceptional processors, screens and connectivity, and worry less about the camera so it keeps the price down.

I was mildly interested … but no way am I paying $400 for a phone with a 720p screen!

    May 22, 2022 at 11:28 pm

I feel if you going to buy Android just buy Samsung!

Motorola phones is a crap nowadays. I got a free Motorola 5G 2021 from my phone provider. And it freezes up and lags and it barely has anything on it, because I don’t use it.
