All is almost fine with the Pixel 5 except the so outdated rear fingerprint scanner… Should have been in display or at least side mounted like the S10E for better aesthetics and modernity… Come on Google ! That’s the Pixel 5 not the 1, 2, 3, 3a and 4a… Bringing the same ol’ technology since 2016…????
In conclusion, at this time the most advanced Pixel is the 4/XL… ????

I feel like I’m on hold for technical support. ???? Pixel 5 128 GB of storage. How can I justify
. My daughter’s iPhone 11 Max 512 GB (350 GB in use), my wife’s Note 9 512 GB + 256 GB SD. 128 GB was fantastic 5 years ago. Now with 4K recording (LOL 8K) in a day you can fill that phone up. With no SD storage or easy way to offload outside the country your SOL on the someday post COVID-19 trip abroad.

Affordable and $499 don’t go together well, one of them has to go and I prefer that being the $499. Also wondering what’s with the ladies only….. Pixel isn’t for men anymore? Looks like a decent phones that are outdone by the competition at those price points.

The presentation is bad. No it is not about the women (I watch intelligent women describing engines and transmissions of cars regularly) but these women. These same people would have done a great video for a product for young parents. The first person still had a youngish vibe but the others look like moms. It doesn’t have a cool tech feel.
Yes Google can coach them better so that delivery can be better. Now it’s looks prescriptive rather than exciting. It literally looks like an ad for joint pain etc. The first person still had a chic feel about her delivery but others are very suburban parent like. Nothing wrong being a suburban parent but that is not the kind of people often buying Google products – they will often buy Apple phones and Apple does a better job at being chic. Google’s appeal is with metropolitan city youth primarily who love tech and the videos have to appeal to them.
The second thing is that they have gone all in on diversity – diversity is great – I am not white myself. But I felt having only non-white mostly immigrant women deliver the product may not be appealing to everyone. They could easily have had some white folk and some men be in the video. Diversity has to be authentic and although Silicon Valley is much more diverse than rest of the country, still the marketing teams often have mostly white folks. To cherry pick women of color is a bit inauthentic to how even Google is.
