      You missed one of the main points (if not THE point) in the talk my friend. I’ve coached kids as little as preschoolers and old as 60+ , it truly is for everyone.

      Nahh, you can basically apply the principles of parkour for any age and ability, all with it’s own limitations ofcourse. Can you be a parkour athlete at 50? Maybe unlikely for most, but where there’s a will, there’s a way!

      I’ve been watching some parkour athletes in their 60s, so I think that’s a bad assumption. Also, she’s not in her 20s, just looks like it

      As a 30+ year old that started in my teens and still practices (parkour) regularly, and as a coach who has taught students all the way up to 60+ years old, I can confidently say…when practiced mindfully…you are wrong. Method of practice and intensity of practice are key things to keep in mind before making sweeping opinions like this.

    I started parkour at one of the lowest points in my life. It wasn’t about flips or walls it was about proving to myself that I could keep moving forward, literally and emotionally. The confidence, the focus, the freedom it rewired something in me.     I remember being in kindergarten when I concluded that the most trustworthy people were those who would either climb trees with me or who wouldn’t tell my parents I was climbing trees. Thanks for bringing that memory back. Even at 52 and with arthritis, I still enjoy stretching against, testing the strength and rigidity of, as well as climbing and jumping on and around would-be obstacles.. just a little more carefully, is all.
