Thanks for watching! Bulldog SG or Mangler? After firing them, I like the Mangler more.

Is no-one talking about how he kept saying “Covenant” and not “Banished” lol.

      September 24, 2020 at 6:19 pm

Ah good point. Been a while since I actually played Halo so excuse my rusty lore. Looking forward to the new one though!

did mechanical click? it’s literally suppose to to click so it doesn’t misalign

    • Logan Moy

      September 24, 2020 at 6:49 pm

It’s a pretty loud click though. Mangler sounds much smoother.

    • GrimzNerfWorks

      September 24, 2020 at 7:31 pm

@Logan Moy its from the slip clutch mech. no damage is done to the internal components.

You manually rotate the cylinder to load in almost every nerf revolver out there. You don’t have a lot of experience with nerf blasters do you?

    • MelodyBurst

      September 24, 2020 at 7:29 pm

The pump-actions ones you usually don’t. Dr. Flux has a review of the new Fortnite DG and he manually rotated it and broke it…

    • GrimzNerfWorks

      September 24, 2020 at 7:32 pm

@MelodyBurst usually they dont, however hasbros quality control lately has been lackluster to say the least.

    • JakieToJestPojebane

      September 24, 2020 at 7:35 pm

@MelodyBurst Well i have a surge fire and you have to manually rotate it.

    • Logan Moy

      September 24, 2020 at 8:29 pm

      @JakieToJestPojebane It’s not a review, and it’s still a very unpleasant sound.

    • JakieToJestPojebane

      September 24, 2020 at 9:21 pm

@Logan Moy That’s completely fair. I think only bigger cylinders (10 darts+) have that clicking thing. It’s cause they’re heavier and could be skipping darts whitout extra friction.

    September 24, 2020 at 7:05 pm

Most nerf revolvers have a slip clutch, it’s 2 pieces that fit together and have angled teeth that are pushed together by a spring, so even if the cylinder is seized the slip clutch, well slips and nothing breaks. The Mangler likely has a disconnect (the rotation mechanism only engages when the blaster is primed, so the cylinder can rotate freely) but the bulldog doesn’t so the rotation mechanism is always engaged. TLDR is that is just a slip clutch (if you open a nerf revolver you’ll see it) and nothing will be damaged.

    September 24, 2020 at 7:12 pm

You will know when you really broke your blaster and I feel a click like that would be ok but still not good sounding

Spamf is love, spamf is life! , no mega? (insert sad face)

  10. Fake Name

    September 24, 2020 at 7:21 pm

Have you never used a nerf blaster before? Drum blasters have been using a slip clutch so you can manually rotate the drum to load it for over a decade at this point, possibly even longer, I don’t really feel like figuring out which blaster first started using it.

    • Scumfuck McDoucheface

      September 24, 2020 at 8:32 pm

… does this dope really strike you as someone that would have any idea what a slip clutch is? the people they have doing reviews just kill me

    • JakieToJestPojebane

      September 24, 2020 at 9:36 pm

Well, that doesn’t explain why smaller cylinders don’t make that sound (only the sound of ar flap). I think it’s cause bigger cylinders have more inertia so you need more friction to prevent the skipping of darts.

if Nerf and Halo collaborated during Halo 2/3,they would’ve sold incredibly well

    • Boom tendo

BOOMco had the license for 5 and they sold pretty good

  14. Logan Moy

    September 24, 2020 at 8:15 pm

Thanks to those that kindly pointed out that the clicking noise the Bulldog SG makes is normal and will not break the blaster. My unbiased opinion is that it’s still a very noisy and unpleasant sound.

    • Ninja eddy

      September 24, 2020 at 8:33 pm

That’s a totally valid opinion. The way a product “feels” is really important.

Does anyone else think that the Mangler was a missed opportunity to be Nerf Mega Blaster? I mean, just look at it, it’s big for a revolver and the ammunition it shoots is also big.

  17. Michael Carey

There’s no Covenant anymore. It’s the Banished.

  18. StuftRock1

    September 24, 2020 at 9:39 pm

I’m honestly a little disappointed with the Mangler. It should have been Mega

I really wish nerf would do doom slayers super shotgun, gears lancer, or gnashes, that would be amazing

Dear Nerf, please make a hand crank gatling gun. Thank you.

The bulldog has a clutch for the drum rotation, hasbro has been putting clutches in their revolvers for a long time.

  25. Ninja eddy

    September 25, 2020 at 12:45 am

I wish the Mangler had more capacity. It’s basically a Strong Arm, so it would be nice if it had one feature that made it unique.
