You know a company is out of fresh ideas when it continues to beat the same old drum a decade + later. “The all-new Apple (fill in the blank) is so cool and exciting because look—it’s even thinner and it comes in four new colors!! And you can order it today!!!” And let’s not forget about the real-world advantages of a thinner phone, which are uhhhhh…

      September 5, 2025 at 5:03 pm

Maybe. But they will sell two hundred million units for the 17 series world wide. The masses love it and see value.Youtubers and phone enthusiasts are not the target market. Just a thought 🤔

Looks like Apple is tired of grifting their customers with faster bionic chips so now it’s going skinny, with less battery life. Next year, they will make it bigger with more batteries and then tell you it was better than the last one. Ah yes, the Apple intelligence that will be released S00N 😂

iPhone Air … looking at the supposed specs and why Apple is doing it this way … Samsung shows it is a lie as they have the Edge. No cripple CPU/GPU. No minimal one camera. No minimal battery. Etc…. Loving what my Edge can do. Unless the leaks got it all wrong, the Air is a skip.

It’s so funny to watch what YouTuber’s push as “The Most Important” features of any device is.
Games and FPS are the only feature that mean anything here when talking about PC’s. , except for the fact that 80% of computer purchase’s aren’t ever used for games.
I can’t imagine what the real poling is for people that ‘really’ need more battery life on their iPhones. It seems like the priority has been that WE NEED exactly what these people need. 3 cameras and a battery that can last 3 days if we need it too.
If these people only worked for US, instead of what YouTube wants.

Samsung has been shipping folding phones for 6 years now. I can’t imagine going back to a full-size phone. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I don’t want a phone without a bezel. The bezel is what I hold on to. Samsung already shipped the Edge, and not having a bezel was not a good feature.

Have the Short sides of iPad Mini FOLD against each other to be a foldable iPhone-iPad combo.

So 2 OS’s depending open or folded. Apps for each of OS’s then wouldn’t be modified much or at all.

After all, iPad Mini uses the same chip in iPhone Pro anyway. Hardware issue hence is just the folding screen and mechanism and battery size.

Then the vapour chamber built in to keep battery longer.

This iPhone-iPad Mini COMBO would be a great seller. Gamers, people that don’t like to carry other iPad model, those want a smaller iPhone and those want the best of the 2 worlds.

    I’d get one definitely.

The Samsung fold shape is Impractical. Apps just don’t ‘fit’ properly.

iPhone-iPad Mini COMBO will not have this impracticality IDIOCY.

No one is talking that this iPhone Air will have an optical zoom thanks to the camera bar on the back. A three times optical zoom replaces three cameras. Can’t wait to see this and watch everyone’s jaw drop in awe inspiring ways 😅

    after the iPhone 17 Air:

the world we knew is gone forever.
nothing will ever look the same again.
this moment rewrote the rules of history.
time split in two the day this happened
what once was normal has been shattered.
we will live in the after, not the before.
the course of history has been bent, forever.
from that point on, everything is different.
a line was crossed, and we can’t go back.
this is not change. this is transformation.

I’m very exited about the iPhone 17 Pro series and the 17 Air, not to mention the new HomePod Mini and AppleTV. So funny how Samsung’s manufacturing division which “partners” with Apple gets access to their upcoming limited testing prototypes long before they come out and Samsung rushes and copies something. 15 years after stealing Apple iPhone IP for their critical foundational Galaxy S series, they’re still copying Apple. Google and their Android OS too, but when Apple copies here and there, we never hear the end of it.

I’m the kind of man that can’t pretend size doesn’t matter and i think the sooner we all make peace with it the sooner we’ll realize it works both ways. A thin phone is impressive, sure. It’s a sleek achievement but I like to feel curves and softness. Thin phones are sharp, pointy and feel like they’ll slip out of my hands. If you know it’s gonna be a chore holding one, best leave it for someone who will love it. These things are supposed to be naturally enjoyable. It’s still nice to see genuine enthusiasm, it reminds me of what i hope to discover for myself.

I would rather buy a product with better AI integration like glasses that can assist with what I’m looking at and give feed back. Making calls by telling the AI to call this contact numbers or look up this and that find out what’s the operating hours, read me top reviews. All of this done without me taking the phone out of my pocket. Apple offers nothing innovative just reskin phones.

The colours for this round of Pro/Pro Max models are awful, the orange colour looks ridiculous compared to the Desert Gold from the previous generation. It seems Apple can’t stick to making a consistent Gold colour and replace it with a really ugly or boring colour scheme. Apple definitely knows how to keep me from buying their latest phones when they release them in boring colour schemes, also bring back the Midnight/Alpine Green and Red.

  77. @PurushaDesa

    September 8, 2025 at 7:37 am

Maybe the real comparison point is the Plus. Perhaps Apple have data that people don’t really want a bigger version of the base phone but are still persuaded there’s something that can be sold in that middle price tier.

  78. @BobMcBurger1

    September 8, 2025 at 9:35 am

Thinner phones mean more sales. First because of the new feel. Second because they will be so fragile and break much easier. It’s a win win for Apple.
