This is stupid. Just buy a cheap bike and go ride it outside. Save yourself the $1000’s

      Outside dangerous

Lol some people don’t like in the suburbs or pedestrian friendly roads. Rather people should just buy a normal bike like an MYX, cheaper still has a monitor. This bike is meant to give those who get a hard on by trying to show out someone at the gym

Zwift is much more fun to ride with..

LoL.. this is what happens when someone who knows nothing about cycling is given a cycle to review, and then does a hands on video with no substance, that he’s calling a review.

It’s a standard speed cycling cleat. You can buy your own shoes. You can replace the pedal entirely with the tools Peloton provided in the support bag. You can switch to MTB cleats, or a regular shoe harness. Did you even take the introduction classes to teach you how to unsnap? This is more like “I did one ride, had a hard time unsnapping, and want to call this a review.” No talk about why the mix of hardware and software make this bike different over a regular bike with a TV. ????????‍♂️

No one who knows cycling will by a peloton lmao. Those who know about real cycling don’t need to spend an outrageous amount on the Peloton rather just get a cheaper bike

@JB 93 yeah try that in the New York winter. There’s a reason why indoor cycling is a full blown industry, and people are willing to pay a lot more than this for classes at Soul Cycle. Do some research ????

    have it. love it.

the issue with clipping out is likely due to the tension on the pedals’ clips being a quarter to half turn too tight. they give you all the hex tools you need to adjust every part of the bike as needed.

personally, i use a samsung phone and watch and i take 80% powerzone classes, so a couple of the biggest features on the the plus bike are wasted on me… but the bigger rotating screen is still well worth it. they copied the huge trend of people paying for an aftermarket add on for rotating the screen which was smart. i just wish they did the same for adjusting the handle bars forward and back.

      April 21, 2021 at 3:21 pm

actually… looking again… your pulling your foot out of the clip. do not do this! you’re supposed to rotate out by kicking your heel outwards. if its loose enough to clip out by lifting once you get to higher resistance and you’re pedaling properly with both push and pull, you’ll probably have and accident and risk seriously hurting yourself. half of the post ride stretch’s give a quick bit about proper unclipping, so i’m surprised in a month this wasn’t learned by the reviewer.

    Try the MYX bike next.

Have it as well. It is really good, but, the calorie counter is way off unless you have the Apple watch. Overall, yes it is expensive, but, it is a really good premium piece of kit and it really feels it. It is about the same as 2 middle of the road gym memberships so it can be worth it. You can also just ring up Peleton and get strapped pedal cages for about £30 ish, they don’t advertise this.

    I LOVE IT! LIFE CHANGING!!

I read the Apple Gym Kit feature is going away. A decision Peloton made to protect themselves from “Evil Apple” now that Apple has the Fitness offerings on AppleTV. Lost of Peloton customers are pissed as this is one featured heavily marketed when the Bike + launched. For now, nothing beats Hydrow in the home gym connected machines.

Riding a stationary bike is one of the least efficient ways to burn calories.

Clipping in and out is not a problem! After doing it 3 times, you will have it mastered!
