What if you had an AI-powered assistant — that took initiative on its own? Technology leader Swami Sivasubramanian believes AI agents are the future of work, capable of sparking new levels of productivity and creativity. Demystifying the workings of autonomous software systems, he explains what they are (and aren’t) and advocates for a world in which AI handles the boring stuff, so you can focus on what matters. I didn’t subscribe to this channel to get bombarded by advertisemens for AI grifters

Sign of the times. Can’t fight it at this point

So using any new technology makes you a grifter? Why don’t you write a letter; stick in in an envelope; put a stamp on it and send it to TED – instead of being a grifter?

I closed this video when he started saying,
AI agents are autonomous software systems that leverage AI to reason

He thinks it’s the most simpler way to understand for a common man

This is garbage. I used to respect TED talks.

Ted got bought by a right-wing billionaire. Some of the people still working it are good, but you’ll see the grift start to go into overdrive now.

Looks like he read a book on how to present a topic and it told him to “smile more”

Will this make things cheaper? I am guessing no.

    • @mikekazz

      December 18, 2025 at 3:04 pm

Digital copies of games, music and movies used to be cheaper than the physical copies now there’s $70 digital copies. Greed finds a way even if it takes generations.

He’s lying, they in fact don’t know how AI “works”, and has been proven to use AMORAL strategies to complete whatever tasks it’s been given.

AI Agents are software that run on a computer. They use a weighted multidimensional matrix to mimic neural activity and sort of learn things by heart through “training”. And through clever arrangement of many of these “neural-networks”, they mimic parts of a conversational partner, that definetly knows what the correct answer looks like, because they learned it by heart, but doesn’t even know what logic is, because it does not think. It is just automated statistical analysis, a fascinating invention and tool, to enhance what humans can do.

Same dudes make bots that rage bait us into getting warnings and bans on our actual profiles. Just leave us alone. All we want is freedom of speech and expression on the internet and in life. Let us find our way and stop telling us how to speak or how to live.
