Not for the developers. They normally have to buy tickets once they are approved by Apple. As they said in the video, they cost approximately $1,600.

You’ve always been able to watch all the presentations for free. The value was one on one time with Apple employees. If that’s not going to be offered, then there’s no difference.

It’s been highly rumored that Apple is finally going to announce the switch to ARM.

???? uhh it’s always been virtual and free? Been watching it for years online so.

    • CNET

      May 6, 2020 at 2:08 am

The keynote presentation is always free to watch online, but the conference for developers that follows usually requires purchase of a ticket, until now.

    • Peter Dang

      May 6, 2020 at 6:36 am

CNET that’s the same thing lol

    • Our Fantasy Life

      May 6, 2020 at 11:10 am

@Peter Dang It’s not. The developers conference usually features small sessions with Apple badged employees that are not recorded and not available to the public. Some are even one on one signup sessions. Apple has stated they’ll be attempting to bring some of this experience into the virtual space. The Keynote presentation is like 1% of the actual conference.

$1,600 a ticket… I’m an Apple fan, but that’s a bit steep. I mean, my on sale at Costco $1000 2019 13” MacBook Pro + iPad 6 gen on sale as well and maybe even squeeze in my $60 iPhone SE 1 gen used

A feature I think would be really helpful on the Apple Watch is a temperature sensor. It could either take the temperature off your wrist or you could lift the watch face to your forehead to take a temperature reading.

The best thing Apple cans do for iPadOS is to give us split window in portrait mode that would give us apps on top and bottom, vs side by side like it is now.

I dont understand some of this reviewers. Android had this for a few years. DEX from Samsung is the best. But because is Trendier Apple is good. Also pay higher higher prices. Chinisse made from 47 dollars we pay 499.99.99 crazy. Hopefully this reviewers actually smack apple like they do others.

I doubt there will be a Mac OS 11, they have been on OS X since 2001 as X stands for Unix. Even if they go with ARM based Mac, this has nothing to do with Unix which is the underlying operating system not the code.

  44. Jake Dunlap

    May 7, 2020 at 2:45 am

Have you looked at the compatibility list for iOS 14? Do you think the Apple TV fourth generation from 2015 will be compatible with this year’s tvOS update?

With falling iOS devices sales , especially with iPhone have lost 40% sales…. it just mean more and more Apple services will be free ..hopefully.

If Apple follows its plans , lesser hardware , lesser innovation and more more services .
iCloud will be charged more , Apple TV + will be bundled with magazines .

With more and more people realizing Netflix and Disney + is much more worth the cost of Apple TV+ which is currently free.

  51. NileshR12

$1,600 sounds like the cost to be part of a cult ahem I mean “community” ????????
