After the leaks, which were pretty much confirmed to be true, I automatically assume that anyone who praises this game as some sort of masterpiece was paid big bucks to do so. And I think it will be proven once the game actually comes out. No way I’m buying it until then.

Last of Us 2 was not an easy game to finish. At one point I cried so hard, I needed to change my shirt. And this was during a happy scene.
The rest of the game is brutal. Almost unbearably so. My 2nd run of the game ended up feeling more disturbing.
That said, I think any fan of The Last of Us needs to play this story. It’s not a preachy liberal agenda story. It’s not a story that “disrespects” its characters.

Abby kills Joel with a golf club two hours into the game and you play as Abby Joel’s killer for over 10 hours. This game is the most overhyped overrated game I have ever played.

You don’t get to play as Abby until late in the game (not 2 as Ellie and 10 as Abby, it’s a 25+ hour game, get your math right). I’m going to pass, the reviews don’t reflect the product on display say,
others may commit to buy day 1. But it is a hard pass for me.

The apocalypse in this universe happened in the late 90s, there’s no way they would be using the language and morals of 2020 politicians, the 3 hours leaked gameplay is full of current politics. I know it was made in woke capital LA, but Sony should have pulled on the reins of the wokerati.

I wont buy, and not just because the story goes South. The absence of multiplayer factions and the probable pay for dlc of it make me sick. Video games are not worth 100 dollars and the trend towards getting players to pay whatever a developer can get has gotten way out of hand!

Haven’t played a PlayStation since I owned the PS2. Went onto the Xbox consoles ever since, and The Last of Us (1 & 2) are enough to make me consider switching to the PS5. Sadly, I don’t have a friend who’s generous enough to let me borrow their PS4 to get caught up on TLOU’s story.

Great review! Also your video has showed off the graphics of this game a lot better than the majority of other videos I have seen! Maybe due to the fact you’ve used your own footage? Great news in regards to what you mentioned about the graphics though! I’m super stoked as have a PS4 pro but currently don’t have a 4K tv! However I am getting my new oled on Friday with the game so tloup2 will be the first thing I play on it 🙂
