Hi all, thank you for watching! A couple notes on the video:

    – Yes, I was just as surprised as you that Quibi made it into C Tier. Truly, I tried to create categories I couldn’t push up or down based on my own personal feelings about any individual service — otherwise you’d have seen WoW Presents and Philo way higher 😂
    – I showed about 20 co-workers the spreadsheet and NOBODY caught that we missed WWE Network! I literally told Logan I had a nightmare that I missed something important two days before this went up. My nightmare came true! Apologies to all you wrestling fans out there – I’ll try to call up The Big Show to hit me in the face with a chair next time.
    – My personal S Tier is HBO, Disney+ and Philo! Can’t live without em!
    – If you enjoyed this video and feel like it’s worthy, please share it so I can prove to my bosses this is the kind of stuff you want to see here from me!
    – No naughty geese were harmed in the making of this video

Interesting that you name drop Philo as if its a common brand like Netflix. WTH is Philo? I’m certain it’s not a streaming service for all things phyllo dough.

You should have put a side note for each service saying that it had commercials, commercial free, or skippable commercials. Sling is in my S category, and most of my friends who stream use it. Nice video!

Services I am subscribed to in order of likeliness to keep subscribed

    1. Prime Video (It’s part of prime benefit so why not)
    2. Netflix (To keep myself relevant in watercooler talks)
    3. Hulu for that 1 Show (there’s always atleast 1) which comes on it within 2 days of airing
    4. Disney+ (StarWars and Marvel waiting for new content)
    5. HBO Max just subscribed will see if I keep it.

I have several streaming Subs, the only one I could never part with is Prime, I get the Prime fee back a few times over every year in the form of free shipping alone add in things like the Sub & Save discounts & Amazon effectively end up paying me better than minimum wage.

    May 14, 2020 at 12:09 am

This is good advice if you’re cheap. If you want the most value for the SAME price you’d pay for traditional cable/satellite service, try my current subscriptions. YouTube TV($50/mo), Amazon Prime Video(4K/HDR, $12/mo), Hulu No Ads($12/mo), Netflix 4K($16/mo), Disney+($7/mo) and HBO Now(to include HBO Max when released, $15/mo). Cord cutting doesn’t have to be about cost savings, it can be about getting a HUGE amount of entertainment for the SAME money. In this case about $112/mo. Not everyone wants to compromise content for money. Get yourself an Nvidia Shield TV ($200 once) and load all these apps and you’re golden for top notch quality including 4K/HDR and quantity for no more money than traditional cable with a horrible channel lineup and clunky limited crap DVR.

  23. iSlandeRon

    May 14, 2020 at 12:09 am

In my opinion I think hulu and Netflix belong in the S category but HBOnow/Max belongs there also instead of amazon prime. Reason is amazon prime has very limited good non-original content included in the yearly price. Most good non-original content costs more per viewing where as HBOnow/max is one price ( and a good price at that ) that includes it’s entire library of original and non-original content.

  26. MrStevestain

By the reviewer’s description, UFC Fight Pass should be quite a bit higher than it is because a) the price is not high – just $9.95 per month, less if you pay for 1 year at a time and b) it’s more than 1 sport – yes, MMA is the heart of the product, but they have a lot of other combat sports AND they have added numerous martial arts movies to UFC Fight Pass recently to even more raise the variety and value of the service.

    May 14, 2020 at 9:36 am

Game of thrones, Westworld, the Sopranos, the Wire, Deadwood and more to come. HBO Max will likely be S tier and best option service once it lunches, closely followed by Prime and Hulu.
Netflix should be A tier due to their just average quality shows.

I just hope Apple will Revolution this streaming TVs service like they did to the music branch. You always have to hop to another service in order wo watch a new season or a movie. So spent 250$ a month and watch what u like 👍

  33. Colocao Mantequilla

    May 14, 2020 at 11:53 am

This is a good way to score. Just wish we had better judges. Maybe an actual focus group or credible panel made of a variety of people who watch different things. This woman and I would probably never vibe right on watching anything together.

  34. Filip Nicola

    May 14, 2020 at 11:57 am

Jesus, video starts at around 10:00.

And no there’s no HBO GO

  36. aravind bala

    May 14, 2020 at 2:00 pm

I believe HBO MAX should be in S tier, HBO NOW/GO has the best original content Period, and HBO Max is available for all HBO subscribers. With additional content in their library it will easily be the best once it launches. Shudder should be higher than Crackle, Vudu and Max Go imo, purely based on the accessibility. Vudu is not even available in a lot of Streaming devices and Max go does not even offer Chromecast and IOS app is being shut down. Still a great list to give some clear perspective on the number of Streaming options available these days.

  37. Brice Lettkeman

It’s funny the Prime was considered the best. The UI is terrible on almost all devices. It has some ok shows and movies but nothing that exciting. I will say it’s content has gotten better but it’s far from being the best service.

  38. Reddy Eswar

    May 14, 2020 at 3:26 pm

Check on MX Player…It has originals too….

  39. Zaine Ridling

    May 14, 2020 at 3:58 pm

The fact that you didn’t use skippable commercials as a criterion is a glaring omission. (Spend 85% of my time in YouTube Premium.)

  40. Gustavo Aragon

    May 14, 2020 at 4:19 pm

Amazon made the S list, but keep in mind that even though they have great backlog content and the subscription is cheap you still have o pay extra to access the best content they have on their streaming service. The only detail i won’t give amazon a S tier

  43. Paul Imisi

    May 14, 2020 at 5:02 pm

Tbh: CBS All Access belong to tier C and Disney+ and YouTubeTV belong to tier B.
And. Netflix is King. Higher than Prime. Netflix has far more originals than Prime for the price.
And as a side note, Netflix is available in dozens of countries, Prime is practically only available in less than 5 countries, and Hulu just 1 country.

  49. robie46

    May 15, 2020 at 1:27 am

I have had a love -hate relationship with CBS All Access and right now it is in the hate stage due to in my opinion a lack of original product. I’m not a Star Trek fan so those shows are out, the new Twilight Zone episodes were generally awful and I just heard they cancelled a show I really liked “Tell Me A Story”. So right now they are off my list. I agree though with your top three. They will never leave my list.

For those prices might as well get basic Spectrum or local cable company basic service. Disney us okay. If they want adult, then gave an adult one with kids stuff one just added adult. Idk. I don’t care much. Hobo app didn’t seem to offer much, but $15 better price then other. pnes

YoutubeTV should be B Tier. Besides the basics, you get unlimited DVR and on demand content. Plus you can add on Showtime, Acorn, and EPIX at cost. How is Hulu rated higher? It costs more for some of the basics YTTV offers…

Thank you for ranking the various services. MY S Tier – ACORN, which is the only paid service I use, hoopla, and Kanopy which I access through my local library digital content and is free but has a monthly borrowing limit. I use several of the free services including Roku but the top three are where I spend most of my viewing time.

CBS All Access, Showtime, STARZ and Pluto TV should be on either on the A or B tier while BET+ and Noggin should be on the C tier and MTV Hits, NickHits and Comedy Central Now should be on the D tier.

BTW, these streaming services that I mentioned (CBS All Access, Showtime, STARZ, Pluto TV, BET+, Noggin, MTV Hits, NickHits and Comedy Central Now) are owned by ViacomCBS, CNET’s parent company.

YouTube premium. After having an ad free experience I don’t think I can go back to the normal one.

  66. Adam Coulter

    May 16, 2020 at 5:31 pm

Interesting that you weight variety so high, the whole point of cutting the cable was the ability to buy just the channels you want. Saying something needs to have both sci-fi and shopping and sports to score highly is pretty misleading. Perhaps rate it by the quality of the content for the target market, weighted against price or value for money?

    • Adam Coulter

      May 16, 2020 at 5:32 pm

So perhaps your method of scoring was too simplistic.

I use Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video.

Prime has relatively crappy interface. I wish they spend some of those billions on their interface.

Also YouTube has to be in my S tier also. I watch a lot of YouTube content.
