Not even apple can figure out a landscape keyboard. That keyboard looks horrible

I honestly think any foldable phone is just a gimmick like 3d in tvs. I want phone to be compact with power based on what i need – non pro vs pro normal iphone. For larger screen i go ipad or macbook that is in my backpack.

Imagine iphone se2 size with amoled screen and apple A20 pro chipset
      That’s my dream

@p@pooriaak1733, i rly liked iphone 5. Probably had it for the most time before upgrade. I use phone for work often and it was more than enough as in screen size. For me is like this – i can’t imagine life without normal sized mobile phone since i have no complaints. I use iphone and laptop if i need more screen – ipad is not always enough. I understand we have to push for tech etc to develop but i honestly thing foldable phones are completely useless and people who owns one will struggle to stop thinking that they have made a mistake

Big screen will never be a “gimmick”

If you can get a bigger screen while keeping it pocketable, you got a winning combination

@pooriaak1733 no need for all that power no pro would use it. This fold is for power user at the highest level

      Speak for yourself…

I don’t use my phone as some sort of fashion statement or a flex.

As a newly admitted family lawyer who commutes to work, as long as I can edit, draft or type up any form of paperwork/documentation in a pinch without the need to use my laptop then that’s good enough for me. The screen and form factor is perfect for what I do.

Even as a part time photographer who owns a Sony Alpha A7 IV, having a pocketable camera in my pocket at all times is always a nice substitute for my top of the line camera. While no telephoto lens, it is still pretty solid, akin to the camera we see in the iPhone 17.

All I want and need from my phone is to deliver the things I need delivered. The only reason I haven’t dipped into the “fold” market is because I have grown to be interconnected with the Apple ecosystem.

That’ll all change come late October…

Notes about what? Samsung made this screen and hinge

      September 9, 2026 at 8:23 pm

@holdfast666exactly when people try to blast samsung but little do they know that probably 70% of the phone is all Samsung parts.

    • @just_a_random_cow

      September 9, 2026 at 8:25 pm

@holdfast666 it doesn’t matter who makes the display… what actually matters is how the display is calibrated, white balance, delta E, how smoothly is the software integrated with the hardware to give a polished look, and much more.
