Full of shit, you can get e-bikes down to 30 lbs.. I just ordered one that’s 55 lbs. And you can’t lift 50-70 lbs? lol Jesus, you really need to get in shape then.. I was lifting 50 lb insulation bags when I was 12 for a summer job.

As we are starting to realize that 99% of people can barely afford cars plus insurance, maintenance registration and to basically be indebted to pay these costs annually, rendering ownership essentially meaningless..Not to mention how destructive we know cars are for the environment, we should be well into paving the way for the next big Bicycle Revolution across Canada and the world.
Just look at the documentaries where they’ve eliminated 80% of the cars in big cities, the roads are so quiet and you can talk to people on the road, and everyone is in better shape.
I knew e-bikes and bikes in general would be surging as soon as this pandemic hit. Still gotta wait a few days for mine.

My e-bike has been a lifechanger for me. I was relying on public transport to get around Montreal, as owning a car while living in the inner city is ridiculously expensive due to the higher city residing insurance premiums. And for the most part it was working out fine, the city has a great subway system with trains running every 3-5 minutes, and a rather decent bus service.
And then the pandemic hit and all of a sudden public transit became too risky to use. So I got a locally made foldable e-bike and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Not only am I now discovering new areas of the city I couldn’t reach by PT in the past, but I’m finding myself using it a lot for recreational purposes. Also the fact that its locally made means maintenance is very convenient too, just too weeks ago, I took my bike back to the shop to fix a probably with the gears and they sorted it all out free of charge.
