What makes LG think a 50k tv will sell while they can’t even sell the 30K TV in the US market.

Time to get a ust laser tv. Not paying the ridiculous prices for these tvs.

    • PSYCHO

      January 7, 2022 at 10:32 pm

You get what you pay for.

Unless you’re buying a flagship JVC or Sony projector, they’re a waste of money for inferior picture quality vs OLED TVs.

Very cool but never say one will probably never afford it. People grow up thinking like that which prevents them from working towards bigger goals. Read Rich dad poor dad.

QD coming to the G3 in 2023 and the C4 in 2024 would be so awesome. I don’t think it’s too unrealistic either

    • Loki 76

      January 7, 2022 at 7:31 pm

That would be hilarious.. The nr 1 OLED maker buying Panels from the nr 1 Qled maker that was against OLED and then later made better OLEDs.. Okay, it’s Samsung Display which is different from the TV maker itself. But still.

    • PSYCHO

      January 7, 2022 at 10:29 pm

@Loki 76 You do realize Samsung used to sell OLED TVs many years ago right??

They used a true RGB subpixel arrangement.

LG Zen TV has better ring to it than Rollerball TV.

    So is the 97” 10k or 50k
    ??

    • 你是國王

      January 7, 2022 at 2:49 pm

      It’ll be 10-15k not 50k when the 8k oled costs 20k.

    January 7, 2022 at 2:26 pm

Love Samsung but I refuse to get another one until they support Dolby Vision.

    • PSYCHO

      January 7, 2022 at 10:30 pm

      Sony A95K says hi.

It uses a Samsung Quantum Dot OLED panel and presumably will support Dolby Vision.

  17. Jimmy Tan

    January 7, 2022 at 3:33 pm

It’s a long shot, but they should be trade in offers with old TVs for a discount.

Sony offering all types of TVs : OLED, QD OLED, Mini LED, LCD.

    • Joe joe

      January 7, 2022 at 6:58 pm

And technically Crystal LED as well.

    • PSYCHO

      January 7, 2022 at 10:34 pm

      Mini LED = LCD.

Mini LED is a backlight type.
      LCD is a panel type.
      They both work together.

All Mini LED TVs = Mini LED LCD.

    • Red I

      January 7, 2022 at 11:20 pm

@PSYCHO They aRe NT TE SAME , BOTh E DIFfRENT In LED SiZE

    • Joe joe

      January 8, 2022 at 1:24 am

@PSYCHO when we mention LCD, it’s just a generalization that it doesn’t contain an advanced back-lit system like FALD or Mini LED in this case. But yes, it is LCD technology.

So my hopes of cheap OLED continue to be crushed… lol where are the OLED monitors, and whyyy is the production yield still so low this late in the game.

    • PSYCHO

      January 7, 2022 at 10:37 pm

If $1,300 or less for a 48-inch OLED TV isn’t cheap to you, then you should reevaluate your financial decisions.

Also, small OLED monitors for PC haven’t been a common thing for many years because they have low profit margins.
