There is no demand issue and there are no “headwinds”. The only issue is getting production and delivery up, and they’re doing that. Oh, and there is zero competition. The alleged competitors plan on producing in very low volume for the next 3 to 5 years and their cars a crap compared to Tesla. They’ll start to appear on Tesla’s radar in 2025 or later. More likely later.

So in your exaggeration, you _want_ a man who is doing nothing but good for society to fail? I don’t think I understand. However, I suppose the reason for my misunderstanding could be due to your inability to structure even a sentence fragment in a comprehensible way.

Who cares if they raise money? Do you know how many rounds of funding startups go through to fund their growth? New Roadster, Semi, Model Y, Tesla Roof, Giga 3 in China, and a possible Giga in Europe are all part of this growth story over the course of the next 3-5 years. I didn’t even mention the most contentious part of this growth story: fully autonomous taxi fleets. The MOST important thing when raising new funding is showing that you have a CORE profit engine demonstrated by strong gross margins which is already the case! Forget profitability, the opportunity is too huge to operate profitably and miss out to competitors.

Demand issue? I’m not sure that is the case. Sure, there is a question of what the upper limit is for 3s in a given year but the real issue right now is production. Check out Bloomberg Tesla Tracker. It shows that Tesla has been having a hard time breaking through key production levels in order to hit targets. According to the new email, they have finally broken through a key level close to 7k per week but they need more towards 8 or 9k to hit Q2 targets and potentially more to hit 360 to 400k per year.

Paul Beaumont , totally agree, Tesla has done everything it said it would. Next year should be epic, Shanghai, Model Y, Roadster, Semi, full autonomy, robo taxis, Maxwell battery upgrade. Meanwhile battery cost will be below $100/Kw. All competition are producing limited production models because they are paying $200/Kw and cannot make a profit on EVs.

Yet another hit piece pushing f u d to fuel stock tanking so sh o rts make money off of illegal narket manioulation.

This analyamst provides NO factual data to reference or check. Just clickbaity titke announceme n t that infers giving up as who can climb everest? Not the avg stock better.

But tesla sold more premiun cars LAST MONTH than ALL OTHER LUXURY CAR BRANDS IN YSA AND EUROPE FOR ALL OF KAST YEAR AND THIS COMBINED.

It is THAT far ahead in the auto industry but these bozos just flat IGNORE that and often just LIE or resort to vague disdain with no basis in fact.

Tesla just released technology that will change societies on a global basis in the firm of real full self driving cars like the Jetsons ca tv cartoon.

This tech was shown in dept as to accomplish this an dedicated A I self leatning computer was developed that is 100x faster than any other supercomputer available today. These special computers are already being installed on all Tesla models now as well as full sensor arry to conduct full self driving. The tech in everyday use will be on faster than any is aware becuse it uses a special scuence developed by Tesla that no one else is capable of producing so what it dies continually gets compared to current inferior technology and no one sees how it wirks.

You can simoky by watching their release video a few times to ebabke this new science to sink in. This thing seds abfmd learns from mistakes and what if scenarios pised based on possible possibikities ABD a MASSIVE amount of real time data that is constantky gkowing in from 500,000 cars on the road already. So it imlroves its capability moment by moment like the Terminator bad a learning computet chip. But Arnie only had one data input where it was at. Teslad are inputting millions of data points every second.

Yet you here nothing of this. You here concerns about demand. But BNW AMand BENZ and AUDI abd PORSCHE etc WISH they had Teslas “lack of demabd” problems as thefd AREN’T ANY!!!

But an analyst can say THAT he is concerned to vegin a swing of sentament. He is playing to emotions useing language and behavior tactics of a bulky on a schoolyard playyground. He spinkles in a bit of really fkimsy anakysis using doubketalk iver the avg foljs financial kiteracy head hoping to force them into apathy about understanding any of this and just capitulate to whatever he says: ge is an exoert right?

These guys have been burned for BIKLIONS EVERY YEAR FOR THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS. They continually get it WRONG….massively wrong abiut Elon and Teska but cibt this facade. Why? They are sent im as hitmen by Big Oil and Big Auto who have TRILKIONS annually to lose if they dont subvert Tesla and do it FAST. He is leading a gkibal moenent away from fossil fuel use that is killing us and the planet and change ovef to c2keaner heakthier energy and transoirtation solutions.

These analyst “project” based on a liud rant and insukt but cant stand up to real analysts that make billions backing Elon and making it their business to know why and how he is successful.

In my town of about 65,000 people, the number of Tesla Model 3s that you see is growing rapidly. Yesterday, my neighbor told me that he saw 4 in one day, after only having seen mine before that. I don’t think demand in the US is a problem. I think that as more people buy them (which is clearly happening), more people will find out about them, and then others will buy them. That’s the way that sales of Tesla increase–by word of mouth, seeing them, and experiencing the ride.

    May 25, 2019 at 10:43 pm

It looks like these analysts that don’t know anything about data analytics nor AI technology just come and goes to any dumb show talking nonsense. Just a point, if Tesla gigafactory 3 is being built at current speed, deliveries made from that gigafactory will probably happen towards the end of the year… isn’t it obvious that demand in China will go down? I mean, why would people buy a Tesla now with all tariff and export taxes when they can just wait a few more months until they can get it from gigafactory 3 by ~ $20k or so less? I mean, anyone can see that coming.

Additionally, the advances in AP are second to no one. Their Tesla chip alone is couple years ahead of what Intel can create as of right now and they are still making improvements in that area. It just surprise me that media pays attention to sensationalists that don’t understand anything about technology and how is being re-invented in Tesla.

After owning MBZs for more than 5 years, moving into a Tesla Model 3 just opened my eyes to all these new possibilities that I thought it was just not possible. The car using machine learning can actually learns from their misses and user’s interventions. That fact alone, for anyone that knows a bit of computer science, it’s just an amazing feature.

    • bbbf09

      May 27, 2019 at 4:23 pm

Like many others – this is an argument and an appeal built on pure blind emotionalism only.
No one did more than IBM to push the computer make the office PC into a reality. It doesn’t mean you define a path to long term winning profitability. Same — Packard , Bell Labs – all trailblazers in their time – now …nowhere much.
OK thats electronics and IT. In automotive terms I could cite UK Land Rover, Range Rover – key players in defining the 4×4 market. Now only there thanks to buy out by Ford and then Tata.
You can’t use your enthusiasm for Tesla in terms of what it has done to define a new market for EV to argue that it has a future. I am a supporter of Tesla and think it has a future (perhaps more of a niche premium brand) but I would never use arguments based on emotional appeal like this. It fools no one (or very few) and actually adds to the argument that Tesla is company built on cult status thing instead of a reliable well run company.

  76. Art Herzog

    May 26, 2019 at 5:53 pm

Dan Ives didn’t do his homework!! Yes, the debt is huge but there are several upsides to the stock. 2 new vehicles are coming, a refresh is coming for Model S and X. Gas prices are heading up and in that note, Europe is having major supply issues. US most likely will also have fuel supply issues and that will make the Tesla an appealing option. Also, and importantly, they have an established battery supply coming that can’t be matched by other companies.

It’s obscene that a good product that the market is crying out for should be experiencing any difficulties. Having said that, their cars are too labour intensive to produce and production costs are way to high. At some point they need to redesign the whole thing so it’s fit for mass production.

I’m not sure that he’s right about the clear lead bit. Hyundai and Kia both have sub $40,000 SUVs with nearly identical range to the base model x. They are nowhere near as nice but they’re also 1/3 the price. If you get to 80 to 90% of the price you’ve got Mercedes ecq and the ipace.. That one is clearly…the only significant distinction the Tesla has over the IPACE is the installed superchargers that they have everywhere in the US. that’s a local thing, the jag vehicle itself is arguably better at $20,000 less. Same real world range, smaller battery so better for environment, more headroom and elbow room, sexier and markedly better handling and interior.

The guy discounts China in sales numbers? That’s as stupid as one can get when talking about sales. You can’t discount sales and then say sales numbers are poor. That’s as irresponsible as any analyst can get and still call themselves an analyst.

Tesla has a HUGE lead. Why? No serious contender has positive margins on their EVs. Period. Nobody has an incentive yet to even MAKE EVs, besides those trying to earn credits to build their gas-burners.

What will Bloomberg and these expert analysts use as their reasons for Tesla to fail once Tesla shows a profit quarter over quarter? Stay tuned this will be interesting.

Bloomberg – can report on anything other than TESLA FUD ?

@ Bloomberg – Fact remains that Tesla is killing off ICE vehicles left and right, and Tesla has 3/4 conversion rate over ICE vehicles.
Where is the Fictional TESLA killer ? It’s non existent and no one is Producing a Tesla killer this year or the next.

Look at all of the Tesla cult members angered by the segment and angered by the reality that Tesla is failing. They want to talk about everything but fundamentals and want to use hypothetical’s to deflect away from the reality of Tesla’s financials. Tesla will go bankrupt and will wipe out long investors — the company may survive in a restructured form after that since the tech and the brand has value and the products are definitely good — but equity investors will get wiped out.

The same type of person who is super Bullish on Tesla long term and has money wrapped up into it and is spinning conspiracy theories that the powers that be want to remove it’s disruptive technology tend to also be invested in overvalued marijuana/cbd, cryptocurrency(and think it’s going to take over money supply like idiots who don’t understand how international markets churn)and buy into assets absent of fundamental analysis.

Well, all of these bitches will lose lots of money as this type always does and never will learn.

It’s like crypto heads touting that bitcoin will free the 99% from the banks… LOL at the idea that they’re not free as is, or as free as someone reasonably be and LOL at the idea that the 99% is going to defeat the 1% at anything financial. The 99% are comprised of average intelligence and lower.

And the 99% are going to get waxed when Tesla crashes. The big boys already have cashed out, as have most insiders with the biggest buy ins coming from Robinhood — aka, dumb millennials buying in as the stock price declines and institutions have exited.

This is just one more example why Wall St. should be destroyed. Planning ahead, undertaking long term and difficult projects, etc. are all frowned upon by Wall St (aka repulsive & repugnant blood sucking parasites). These guys can’t think beyond the end of a quarter when they want to fill their maw with ill-gotten gains siphoned off the economy. Wall St “builds wealth” for the few, and has been hurting far more than helping this country for a long time.
