Sure, because Apple has had any actual amazing product since Jobs died. And of cause you will need a screen but not an iPhone. Because the OS is crap.

3:15 a $1500 portal device. Sure. Maniacs. How much is this woman paid by Apple?

If there was some Douglas Adams planet where they invented smart glasses before phones everyone would be so excited for the new gadget “You don’t have to wear it on your face! You can store it in your pocket so you’re not always using it. It can have longer battery and better cameras!”

  4. @Sairus.

You still need a smartphone to use AI Glasses .

Zuck has never been known as visionary leader he’s more of a copier. Apple has at time been late to new hype products in the past but they always been the leader when released

  6. @muuhsien

poor Apple, now they are trying to do such a cheap promotion like this…..

The AI hype machine is all about getting people to asume they can trust AI -SO THEY CAN BE MONITIZED AND CONTROLED!!
Meta is the absolute WORST company in the world when it comes to respecting customers privacy. They are just barely above a blackmailer in ethics.
Microsoft and Amazon are terrible too, but they are in the context of work and commerce where your rights are limited anyway and you can escape to the safety of the outside world.
Google has been tracking us for decades, but they hide it well to the point that they seem to have morals.
Apple seems to be the only big tech company that DOESN’T need to violate customer privacy for their business model. So far open source AI runs best on my Mac!
Investors may still be piling into the “AGI superintelegence” dream, but I will tell you that humanity will not be conquered easily -they will fight back, shut it down, disconnect…..
These “AI first” devices are like “the beeper”. At first people wanted then as a sign that they were important. Within two years wearing a beeper signaled you were a slave, unworthy or unable to afford your own time.

I totally believe in zuck’s vision of smartglasses(with AR) and personal superintelligence. Zuck is planning on collecting tons and tons of data and feeding it to Manhattan sized datacenters on which he’s spending billions and billions. While many say meta is harvesting data of its users i see it as something akin to lifelogging.
AI is all about data and apple seems more like into selling a lifestyle

  11. @thatDigitalDen

    August 9, 2025 at 11:44 am

Sorry but it will! Apple Siri and Ai is rubbish and a terrible user experience. Can’t wait for ChatGPT and Johny Ive’s new product!

Did you expect the CEO to say that he was NOT excited about their product pipeline? His opinion about their pipeline is virtually useless he’s giving specifics.

Good luck taking down Apple without a worldwide retail presence. Or mobile payments accepted everywhere. Or a vast Lossless library of music of higher quality than CD’s able to stream on desktops, tablets, smartphones, watches or any car’s dashboard. Or remote control your homes lighting, doors and appliances [again all by vocally by Siri ]. man I even start my car remotely by Siri on the Watch lol. It’s not just the iPhone it’s a whole ecosystem.

it’s the keyboard and language handling of apple products that makes me think about switching to android. Apple simply doesn’t show completion for hundreds or even thousands of english words that it sees them as hypersensitive, or woke. The keyboard is also frustratingly slow, the design is flawed too. I just tried to save a python file from an online editor, it’s a nightmare with ipad.

AI is just a tool. Also, people won’t give up the visual display on their phone, watch, eyeglasses, etc. Simple as that. AI will be an adjunct tool, not some GOD that we are willing to be totally subservient to. Get real!

  39. @seankang

    August 10, 2025 at 1:58 pm

Apple has always been poor at SW and delivery. Meta would topple apple, but the Samsung Google alliance has been beating apple for several years. And samsung has more human contact points than Google and apple, with appliance, TV, laptops, wearable etc. Samsung with Google AI and cloud has already beaten apple, and it will take a miracle for apple to match.

  40. @bloodbp

    August 10, 2025 at 6:51 pm

Apple has top AI talent? So why is Siri still so bad?

  41. @LifeBeautifulMess

    August 10, 2025 at 7:25 pm

The desktop computer thought the same…..change doesn’t happen in a couple years, it takes a decade…..The iPhone is the desktop from 2001 and while I don’t see it either, it has peaked. The desktop is still very much a thing, the iPhone will be too, it will just become secondary.

  42. @ats8742

    August 10, 2025 at 10:01 pm

I won’t trust meta with any personal device let alone AI powered one. I suggest they stick with social media and messaging platforms and let other tech giants like google or apple tinker with AI power device like glass.

  43. @marteenyo

    August 10, 2025 at 11:06 pm

  48. @ErMachtIrgendwas

    August 11, 2025 at 4:11 am

It’s funny that people still hate Facebook or meta or whatever name they give themself. It seems like they always try to stay relevant by implementing new things from all the platforms but people still don’t like meta, WhatsApp, instagram and so on cause it’s owned by this company. 😂

  49. @ASKP007

Throw some money towards instagram so they can finally develop an ipad app.

Zuck only needs a slice of the eye glass market. And at the rate he is going, he will get it. Apple will take a back seat as their investment in AI will hinder them. Or should I say, their lack of investment?

  57. @VincentJenks

    August 11, 2025 at 12:58 pm

The guy who created a failed “Metaverse” and bet the future on really crappy virtual reality, even naming the company after it, then fully dropping the ball and backing out? That Zuckerberg? Yeah…that guy isn’t tuned into what people really want, IMO.

  65. @denis72

  69. @theothernodude3139

    August 12, 2025 at 12:23 pm

Apple is a consumer products company, not a tech or AI company.

Their hardware is already either on the level or in some cases – ahead of just about every other chip producer like Nvidia, Intel, Qualcomm, and Samsung. They also have super tight integration with the hardware and software experience which makes the AI models run better on Apple’s own products.

Shareholders and investors are the only ones reinforcing this entire AI push. Your company has lots of AI? Your stock goes up 20 points. Your company had amazing profit margins, but taking your time in AI? Your stock drops 30 points.

    Apple will be fine.

Of course he’s going to say he’s excited, that’s his job. He’s not going to say “oh man we really screwed up I don’t know what to do”… glasses will not replace phones until they have cameras that equal them
