They said will never launch foldable phone this year. This year will be the year for oppo

I can tell you went all over Barcelona to review the phone! I love the dedication 🙌🏼

Is this phone available in the U.S. ? I wanna buy one but they said it’s not available here

Folding phones solve no actual problem. If the world wanted or needed folding phones they would be everywhere.

    • @MillennialJesus

      March 3, 2025 at 1:25 pm

The moment they get affordable you’ll see them everywhere.

Maybe not for you, but for others it eliminates the need to carry a tablet and a phone.

Will Oppo be the one that is banned after Huawei?

    • @ChristopherPond-t9t

      March 3, 2025 at 5:49 pm

Most likely, the US tried to ban Xiaomi based on BS clams and Xiaomi fought it in court and won. The goal is to cater to Apple and kill innovation. Europe is probably no different.

    I have the n5.
U don’t see the crease when u use the phone. Unlike other foldable like hon9r or pixel or Samsung, there is no distortion where the crease is. That jell6 like distortion was a dealbreaker for me.

    • @nickthaskater

      March 3, 2025 at 7:37 pm

I’ve been using a Fold 5 for a year and half. I have no idea what “jello like distortion” you’re talking about.

From my window here in Mexico City, I can see a billboard ad on the whole side of a building for Huawei’s Tri folding phone, and Oppo is making a local event to present this one tomorrow over here. You can buy pretty much every major foldable from all the brands down here, and yet I’ve only seen about five in the wild? The fact that they brought this one and the trifold one seems pretty telling, but I don’t know how they got there.

  10. @Rosepoision

    March 3, 2025 at 10:43 am

I believe in future laptops and tablets will disappear and these phone will be the best option

  11. @awkc63

    March 3, 2025 at 10:51 am

As I’ve said since dya one, cool tech, but it won’t catch on has anything major. Too expensive, too brittle, too much of a gimmick. Flipping phones would actually sell better overall if there were more of them. More useful.

damn and samsung cant do it still in the anti reflective screen department

  14. @p5ri3o

    March 3, 2025 at 11:26 am

The reason I didn’t pull the TRIGGER and get the Samsung Galaxy Fold; “DAMN-CREASE”👎
Oppo has got a WINNER 💪here, unfortunately however, it isn’t available in the US market either.
In the interim, won’t be switching to (foldables), until something comparable arrives stateside.

  15. @techs3ns3

    March 3, 2025 at 1:12 pm

Excellent review! On location and very contextual! Thank you!

  16. @MASTIFFKB

    March 3, 2025 at 1:12 pm

Hope Oppo brings this to the USA for the main carriers.

  17. @eswarjj

    March 3, 2025 at 3:09 pm

Stopped watching right after I found out the price. This technology is not ready for mass consumption.

  18. @Zenstone26

    March 3, 2025 at 3:55 pm

Most reviews of foldable phones don’t show the software experience because they don’t want you to know that it’s awfull on a square display

  19. @theerathg9022

    March 3, 2025 at 4:40 pm

which is better vivo x fold 3 pro or find n5 ? It seems like India launch is uncertain. Should I go ahead with vivo? I’m looking for productivity and battery life

  20. @pguy316

Completely unrelated but loved that CNET has a reviewer with a hijab and didn’t relegate them to not being on camera. Props. Also keep any negative comments to yourselves I don’t care for a debate

  23. @HMZ991

    March 3, 2025 at 7:14 pm

Just received my oppo find n5 and the crease is almost smooth as butter even when compared to the previous version (n3).

  24. @nickthaskater

    March 3, 2025 at 7:33 pm

1.39mm thinner (unfolded) than a Z Fold 6, and people are out here acting like it’s a revolution, lol. The speakers are terrible, the camera sensors are meh, the camera bump is still enormous, the hole punch on the inner display is awful, and it absolutely still has a noticeable crease (not that I expect otherwise, but the commentary about it being “invisible” is silly). The hinge also fails to hold the screens open at an angle, making “flex mode” kind of useless.

Software is what makes or breaks a foldable at this point. Oppo is probably second best in this area, but there’s still so much they could/should be doing to make the most of the form factor. I really wish these reviews would pay more time toward the software than the hardware.
