    Just put in contact lenses?

Based on the minification of his face through his lenses I assume he’s a high myope. That means the lenses have to be thicker at the outer wall of the lens and thinner in the middle. There’s only so much space you can take up inside a headset like that especially towards the peripheral edges.

While near sighted people generally have a better time with contacts that far sighted people based on that same shape factor (it hugs the eye better) some people just don’t have great eyes for contacts with dryness, corneal issues, etc.

Actually streaming IS the reason I want it. I have a big room for VR. I have an Index. But some games are so active I don’t want to deal with the cable twisting I currently deal with.

      Same here

Saying Streaming isn’t the reason to get it, despite that being the big selling point of it, is a weird take.

The streaming part was like a huge point of the advertisement. I believe they called it “the whole thesis” on their MAIN STEAM PAGE.

The point I think valve and everyone is basically ignoring is this is a computer. This is way more hardware than what you need to add VR to your already beastly gaming rig, this is basically steamdeck built into a VR headset, yes you can connnect it to your gaming rig but its twice the price for minimal benefit. A lot of people are going to buy this thing and be confused and surprised what it actually is vs what they thought it was.
