Those substantial and irregular reflection on the screen though is something people are going complaint once they start using this device on a daily basis, which means you not only you have now hold this with both the hands but also you to hold it at a certain angle. And you can’t even put it on a flat surface because of the huge camera bump. 🤣

I hope someone make a honest review of the game Samsung play this year to her customers, look what they do with all this devises one is missing camera’s other is missing SD card other is missing quality some are missing more than a couple of specs- hardware BUT the prices going UP so customers loose, company earn more…make the connections!

I think the “premier” service is to prevent people from blaming the company when they break their device.
Samsung will point the finger back saying “we offered support and you didn’t use it”

    Microsoft Surface Duo is Better:
1.) The Duo has Much more Screen than the Folds.
2.) The Duo folds in more be positions than the Folds
3.) Duo works with all the Surface Pens.
4.) Duo has a more Durable and more Premium than the Folds.
5.) The Duo is thinner and Lighter than the Folds.
6.) The Duo is a Brand New Form factor instead of the Folds Boring Glass Slab look.
7.) The Phone Mode is more Usable than Fold 2’s Narrow front screen.
8.) Duo is $600 less than the Folds.

I would much rather pay for the Surface Duo than the Folds fragile plastic screen that damages if a Fingernail or Even Dust touches it 😆😆😆

The 68mm width is a dealbreaker for me. The whole point of a foldable was to make these oversized phablets that have saturated the market for the last several years to be more pocketable and easy to use one-handed. The original Fold accomplished that with a 62.9mm width. All Samsung had to do was shrink the bezels without increasing the footprint for the cover screen. Instead, the Fold2 is just like any other phone now: big and unwieldy to use, folded or not.

I have the original Galaxy Fold. What I like about it, among other features, is the storage space of 512 GB inner memory. This Fold was priced at $1,980.00 dollars. This New Z Fold 2 has many great features, for example, I like the larger front screen, the Mystic Bronze color…, however, I do not like the elevation in price at $1999 dollars, FOR ONLY 256 GB OF INNER MEMORY.

Remember those days when Apple used to come up with new techs: now Apple is milking both Devs & Costumers to be a $trillion company while Samsung is investing in its R&D and coming up with breathtaking techs, even a small company like xiaomi is coming with invisible front camera!!!

So bad use of resources. So many screens, so many cameras. Better find a way to fold screen outward and lower the number of screens and cameras and hence lower the price.

  58. GerardPedrico

The only way to hide the crease is to have Samsung use Paper-Like screen protector like the one used on the Apple iPad Pro because Paper-Like screen protector is not glossy (does not have a gloss surface) therefore the crease remains “unseen” for extended periods of use when folding-unfolding the Galaxy Z Fold 2.

Have been waiting for this. A bit disappointed though with storage and cameras. Hope they bump it up to Note-esque specs next year, given that the Note series might not exist 😭

    1999 usd too much

  61. Wes McDannold

    September 3, 2020 at 4:04 pm

It’s a cool phone for sure, and I’ve always been a fan of Samsung; it’s just sad to see that Samsung constantly charges a premium dollar price and skimps out on certain specs. Their competition however, mainly Apple, does not do this. I think this phone should have better camera shooter(s) on the back (think the about the S20 and 8k video), an IP67 water resistance rating, lack of SD storage is just dumb, the Gorilla glass on the front should be the same on the back, and they should consider the S-pen on this device. Making small budget cuts such as having last year’s Gorilla Glass on the back just seems unnecessary. Are you really trying that hard to save $25 per device? (just throwing a random $ amount out there). At $1,999 I would expect nothing but the best, and they only want to provide you with 85% of the best possible specs per say. Same goes with the Note regular vs Note Ultra series. Like, there’s no reason IMO to make the Ultra have a 2-4k screen and the regular version only 1080p. At $999 I expect better than 1080p. They try too hard to make cuts where I don’t think they should particularly make those cuts. That’s the reason I won’t upgrade from my Note 8. There’s just too much skimping out between the two models. And there seems to be too much skimping out on the Z Fold 2.
