The new season seems like all the other old season all the other old episodes. I guess they weren’t gonna make an effort to be more different than what they used to and expand their entertainment possibilities but it’s all the same to me. Pretty boring.

I think I remember the original Disney Futurama ride. If it’s the one I’m thinking of, I loved it. I could be mixing it up with the People Mover though. I know I saw some ‘future city’ views and such though, so maybe the latter repurposed bits of the former?

So Bender being a bending robot likely ties in to Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 2, Episode 9 “The Measure of a Man” in which there was a hearing to determine the legal status of Commander Data. At one point in the episode, Data was required to BEND a very thick piece of metal as a demonstration that he was, in fact, a MACHINE. Most of Bender’s other characteristics seem to have been designed to make him effectively OPPOSITE to Commander Data in every possible way.
