Samsung trying really hard to make the ecosystem. And i like it, but still. M1 is too good compare to intel processors.

Samsung : Can i copy your homework?
Apple : Yeah just change it up a bit so it does’t look obvious you copied
    Samsung : Ok

      April 28, 2021 at 8:54 pm

Nah nobody yet copied m1 and already mass producing starting M2 chips! Dude m2 chips will have 16 cores for cpu and gpu this galaxy book will not even come CLOSE! Unless you buy some gaming laptop with RTX gpu! But we all know gaming laptops are different category and usually their screens are not the best, also they are ticker so not really comfortable to carry with yourself, and their power brick is heavier than Macbook air!

@Shokha Takhirov you could’ve just stopped at gaming laptops are different

This is about 4 years too late. It’s Apple and Microsoft’s world when it comes to the PC/2-in-1 market, Samsung will never be able to even make a dent at the prices they’re charging.

    • Skgn 978

      April 28, 2021 at 9:06 pm

Thats why they made partnership with windows and they made a windows based laptop not some new third os based.

Could Samsung copy Apple keynotes anymore? Like seriously, it took me a few to remember I was watching a Samsung keynote and not an Apple keynote. And they also copied almost everything the MacBook Air has. Wow.

Everyone is talking about including an arm chip instead of x86….but what about huge number of software that wont work with arm based chips. How should they run?

    • jamzone

      April 28, 2021 at 11:29 pm

Microsoft should make a translation layer like apple’s Rosetta 2 to make x86 apps run natively on arm.

    • Skgn 978

      April 28, 2021 at 11:34 pm

@jamzone translation makes softwares slow and it has other flaws as well. Running natively especially engineering and scientific use software is the only way…as they can get the full power of the system.

Bit of a ham fisted presentation. Samsung needs to watch Google, Microsoft or Apple keynotes on how to present in a interesting and engaging way.

  33. calsta619

    April 29, 2021 at 4:57 am

You gotta love how just a few short years ago, an argument could be made about windows laptops being better than their apple counterparts. Sure their OS was worse, but the diversity of products and lower prices meant that in many cases, they were the better option. Oh how things have changed. The M1 series of laptops which apple have released thrash these in every compartment, and these aren’t even bad for what windows laptops have to offer. Battery life, CPU and GPU performance, form factor, the lot. Apple thrashes them, there’s no comparison. I guess the decision is whether to get an iPad Pro or MacBook at this stage…

      April 30, 2021 at 11:36 am

Not a good idea for windows pc now because apple is further ahead in this case. Apple makes important software and a great emulator for m1 but microsoft is lacking behind in software support for arm processor .So x86 is still a better choice for windows pc.

Lol they really are trying to compete with apple, the only good thing that they know how to do is phones & tv’s , none of this was necessary

    • D P

      May 2, 2021 at 8:23 pm

They are trying to compete with other windows pc ‘S. There is more chances of someone moving between pc’s vs people going from Macs to pc.

    • OXIR

I mean no other company is going to do this for Android but Samsung. So there has to be these features because Android + Windows needs this integration.

    • OXIR

      May 2, 2021 at 8:14 pm

Samsung Display has shared some videos about the future of laptop displays. UPC (under panel camera) and super thin bezels (you can search for Samsung Display channel on YouTube)
I think it may also become foldable but that’s not a good idea in my opinion because mechanical keyboards will always be superior to display with feedback or maybe it’s too early for that.
