I’m glad apple is still making neckband wireless earphones, my mom hates truly wireless earphones as she prefers this type much more and they’re for a good price coming from apple? I’m impressed.

I have the Powerbeats Pro and BeatsX, I love them both. I would rather have 2 or 3 pairs of BeatsFlex than one pair of wired Powerbeats.

Problem is those silicone tips always gets oily n fall out of the canal, leading to continual adjustment which is really really annoying.

Do not fall into trap with Beats products. Had a pair of BeatsX a couple a year ago. Had to replace it as the battery and button went crazy at times or the charging signals was not showing correctly. The life span of my first didn’t last a year and the replacement set also went malfunction after 1 year.
The issue with BeatsX is… the battery malfunction and Apple couldn’t fix it. No repair available and after the warranty expires after a year ( and after the replacement set also went broken), there’s nothing I could do but to throw it away. This is a bad . The company always produces lousy products when it comes to connectors, cables and Earpieces.

I remember 2010-2014 having a tons of these Neck-Band style Bluetooth headphones. Kind of cool to come back to that era before Truly wireless Earbuds dominated the market.

If you want sport-focused Beats headphones, go with Powerbeats (not the Pro one), IPX4 rated, 15hrs of battery life and it has the latest H1 chip. Problem is it’s retailed for $149.

Apple is really trolling us at this point but not putting USB-C on their new iphone 12s but they do on this $50 headphones wth smh.

As for these Beats Flex. Overall a good set for the price. I like that new neon color as well. I might pick these up as I do like the style of my Beats X now. Too bad those Beats X tend not to last that long from my history. I like being able to have my headphones just around my neck hanging so it’s there whenever I need them. I don’t like all those LG neck ones though as they’re way too heavy for my needs.

I have the pixel buds 2 which are completely wireless and I love them for that but nothing is wrong with wires as long as it doesn’t get in the way.

  29. SavageSenzu

    October 20, 2020 at 3:23 am

I wonder if these will last longer than the beats x and won’t randomly stop working and get the white/red light of death.

  32. chuckie14469

    October 20, 2020 at 5:31 am

I loved my Beats X, but the biggest issue isn’t the wire… it’s always the batteries. Apple literally purchases defective batteries for their earbuds. This is why their earbuds barely last 3-6 months before they stop charging/working.

What I like about the Apple/Beats branded wireless ear/headphones is the chip that makes it easy to switch between Apple devices. When I’m watching a video on an iPad and I wanna quickly listen to a message sent to my phone, it automatically detects that I switched to my other device and route the sound accordingly. I just can’t get this kind of convenience elsewhere.

  34. Rosy ("that's what they call me......")

    October 20, 2020 at 8:00 am

I’m considering buying them over the $250 + Beats wireless with the ear hook, I’m going for the color options because the black and white ones are so boring and typical standard looks

    October 20, 2020 at 8:09 am

    1. Handiest solution for mixing browsing and occasional video – the neck cable lets me remove them without having to set them down and still having them ready to go in an instant. I can answer and make calls too. If AirPods, where do I put them. 2. Works with all my Apple stuff without re-pairing. 3. That crazy low price.
