Last kids fire tablet I got for my daughter was so sluggish and buggy, we ended up opting out for an iPad mini. Let me tell you, the difference in speed and interface is unbelivable.

Fire HD Kids Pro? There is the most oxymoronic overuse of the “Pro” moniker. If a tablet designed for kids can be “pro,” what do words mean at this point.

DO NOT BUY ANY SHOW DEVICE! They have become FORCED AD monsters!!! You can’t shut off ads anymore. Some, yes, but no longer all. Even with all of the ads off in the settings, I still get tons of ads, especially for Alexa Skills(apps). You can play whack-a-mole with individual Alexa Skills apps, BUT they come back in a few days. Ask the weather, and by the second information screen, 80% of the screen is product ads from Amazon. No exaggeration. My Show now is now set to night mode 23:59 a day, and only shows a pale dark clock. I couldn’t stand seeing ads instead of my pictures.

Absolutely nothing here which even slightly entices me to want to buy it. Alexa is looking darn stupid in these days of ChatGPT and Bard. Barely understand anything or can answer anything. Fire TV interface was messed up a few years ago making me have to work hard just to find my apps. What is Blink vs Ring, which Amazon owns – just confusing. Amazon is a very successful mess of a company….

Would love to see a magnetic wall mount (with wireless charging) for the Fire tablet instead. Fire tablet is thinner and more performant… and you can run a full featured dashboard like SharpTools on it.
