Really good, everything feels well done

Whole issue goes away when voting is compulsory.

Compulsory voting so you have to choose between moloch or baal and nothing will change, good idea.

      October 20, 2026 at 4:03 pm

Sure, if States also made voting as accessible as possible, lest you want to end up like North Korea where voting is compulsory and the same party happens to win every time partly because if you don’t vote for the Party you go to Prison for Hard Labor😂

Edit: She outlines how it is inaccessible

I seen so many ypung people yesterday during early voting. I was cheering for them. Cause when i was younger i was just trying to make money. It seemed like an old people problem. Glad they are showing up

I moved about once a year until I was 25. Remembering to keep my voter registration updated was not a priority then.

Its mainly that nobody has our best interests at heart and id rather just not partake in this humiliation ritual

I think some don’t agree with the system and vote by not voting, as we are seeing in France right now

    • @AshYBoi03

      October 20, 2026 at 4:27 pm

So true why vote when you hate both sides

France also does better mass action. Remember when they were going to tweak their retirement age by a year or two and there were RIOTS? French don’t play around.

i realized a long time ago that its useless when the popular vote doesnt matter. if youre in a blue state, likely theres no reason to vote if youre voting blue. i mean look at how they counted california. 0 ballots were in and they already declared a blue win. same goes for red. the only votes that matter are swing states and those in opposition to the popular choice. when it comes to local law, welp.. ill just move, gunna have to anyway since ill be priced out of my rental every election cycle.

Better to participate in change than to give up altogether.

@sylshtor1844the point is there is no change happening in these scenarios. the majority of people are in vote locked states.

  8. @rebeccapowell7551

    October 20, 2026 at 4:26 pm

I’ve been poor. I’ve moved around. I still voted.

    • @sidneylemon1951

      October 20, 2026 at 5:32 pm

Right. These are such lame excuses.

Good for you! They’re barriers for others though. Try having a little empathy.

Oh trust me, they will turn out this year, young people are PISSED at this administration!

It’s always been my partner and I with maybe a couple people my age, but we have an incredibly different situation than most people our age.

  11. @skloak

    October 20, 2026 at 4:43 pm

Every year I’d ask all the young people at my job if they’re going to vote, and if not, why not. The overwhelming majority said “no”, because “it doesn’t matter”. I live in a red state, and most of these were blue-sided kids who were just so disillusioned that they felt there was no point trying because “the state goes red no matter what”. We need better outreach, better education, and better, stronger messaging to get this huge chunk of the population to get off their butts and actually try. I reached some, just by virtue of having several in the room at once, but not enough. Until all the young people are voting, it’s never enough.

  12. @casm6171

    October 20, 2026 at 4:49 pm

I’ll vote just not for republican or democratic.

  13. @nicokelly6453

    October 20, 2026 at 5:27 pm

I hope we improve our election processes to make voting easier for everyone. Voting is an important right and we should all be able and willing to use it. We should all fight against voter disenfranchisement.

  14. @blueamel3751

    October 20, 2026 at 6:36 pm

Or the main reason cuz its doesnt make a difference

  15. @legendaryuoit

    October 20, 2026 at 7:36 pm

no…cuz we all know at this point that no matter who will be elected, its going to be just another disapointment

  16. @odnewdylee

    October 20, 2026 at 8:00 pm

Because no matter how we vote we get the same thing over and over and over again.

  17. @fhoewjieowg

    October 20, 2026 at 8:29 pm

Voting is an illusion and changes nothing. Stop thinking your vote matters or is even counted.
