Human potential will only accelerate with AI answering questions better and faster than ever before, says Aravind Srinivas, cofounder and CEO of conversational search engine Perplexity. He examines the trends driving new AI-powered tools that nourish curiosity and creativity — and how they might usher in a new era of intellectual growth and discovery. “Knowledge does not really care about who you are, where you’re from or who you have access to. Rather, what matters is the next question you’re going to ask,” says Srinivas. Watch his full TED Talk here:

He’s talking about the Mark of the Beast… a computer processing chip that will be put inside of people (forehead or right hand). This is in direct opposition to what our Creator wants for us, & will damn people into the Lake of Fire for eternity.
      👉🏻 Book of Revelation.
Only Jesus can save people from what’s coming.

It’s a pure flim flam hype speech. You are not missing anything, it’s all just the hot air that fills up a big floppy inflatable man thing outside a used car lot.
But the used cars are just Uber discount passes.

@@wasserperson This response – crafted by a human – actually makes more subtle contextual sense – complete with sarcasm – than most LLM / GPT-based systems are capable of. Bravo. The current wave of media-headline AI have such a very, very, long way to go ….

“Instead of maintaining the world wide web as a incredible library of libraries,
big tech made it into an endless catalog of spam ads and infomercials.
Now, we are going to make good answers freely accessible again by making you pay a monthly rate for a remote that can skip to the least-spam-filled-channels, and a fast forward button.
    Yay disruption!
Yay new markets for social sphere rent seeking!”

In it’s current state it seems to pull multiple forms of information together even if they are not directly related.

  15. @fmbray_

    February 22, 2025 at 12:56 am

No, it won’t. When did TED turn into a capitalism-pushing channel? I used to respect it until y’all just started pushing AI almost every week. AI wasn’t meant to give us answers. It was meant to help us with actual work. It’s terrible at its job and needs to just deal with numbers and manual labor tasks. Free up humans to do human stuff.

Knowledge does not really care about who you are, where you’re from or who you have access to. Rather, what matters is the next question you’re going to ask 👏🏻👏🏻💯

  17. @l01230123

There have been free libraries for decades, and search engines that don’t use AI give more accurate results while costing much less to operate and damage the environment less.

Ai is categorically worse than other options if you know how to research. The only benefit is for people who are too lazy to even use Google, don’t care about the planet, and don’t care about confirmation of facts and accuracy.

Ai will cause serious harm to humanity.
    Don’t help it

  22. @vultureculture7707

No. AI will not make us better people.

    Interacting with real people will.
