      It’s not instant translation and you need a wifi connection. You can use this device to talk to your sherpa on a mountain without a data connection.

      @@poodlelord you can pre download language. Also yes with Google it’s instant and it will talk to the person for you. This device is great for office use that when you have a guest come in you give them this device. That’s why it’s so expensive.

      ​​@@poodlelordthen this product is for rich people, criminals and probably should be available to rent to travelers. Maybe executives. Otherwise it’s a waste. But Google also translates text .

      *Edit : just found out Google can download for offline use too, so no advantage to this device. Its sounds like a scam now.

      My mother has one too and she can translate live calls. Her English isn’t the best but she’s now able to speak to english speakers thru its live translation that’s works on both ends

    Now people are making separate devices for smartphone apps. Steve Jobs came up with the idea of merging different devices into one, calling it a smartphone. Now it seems like we are splitting it up. Evolving backwards!
