What an interesting talk, like she said, it seems that tech and all these innovation are focused on urban area. While it does give the economic of scale advantage and close proximity advantage, it does however in the long run (which we are in) will prove to be unsustainable. People should really focus back on rural area to disperse the environmental burden that urban area possess. Thankfully we have the right technology and connectivity now for this but unfortunately we are still stuck in this mentality that tech won’t grow so much in the countryside, which, at this speaker points out, is the opposite.
As a person who grew in rural area and now living, working in big cities, i really yearn to go back to my village and contribute back there.
Hopefully in the near future, we won’t stuck in this same mentality that we have now.
I really like how the speakers last point, technology at the end of it, is just a tool, we the people are wielder of it which decides whether the tools, chemicals, pesticides and such are good or not.

Entrepreneurship requires liberty, otherwise it’s just state command economics at play. Entrepreneurs innovate, regulations stifle competition and progress when they are anything more than taxing negative externalities or requiring insurance for the somewhat likely event of a bad outcome. Those who obey, suffer themselves and keep their countries down.

The ideas presented here have weight and merit for sure. My issue it that the speaker took what felt like an enormous amount of time to get each point out and overall didn’t effectively convey any message.
