Faith is the enemy of the climate change effort. Dogma (political, economic, religious) and magical thinking is the bane of humanity.
Fundamentalist right wing Christianity is the main source of climate change denial in the west. It doesn’t matter whether the motto is “God won’t let anything happen to us”, “It’s pointless, since Jesus is coming soon and the world will end” or “Climate change is a Chinese/Jewish/elite/etc conspiracy”, we know that the “faithful” are mostly behind it in all cases. You may argue that short-sighted nationalism is the main factor, only to realize that the “faithful” are mostly behind that too. And, by the way, in case you think this is an attack on Christianity, the Mulsim world isn’t better. See for yourself who advocates for and who opposes efforts to stop carbon emmissions in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.
This speaker, as charming and likeable as he may be, is not helping. The world needs less pandering to “spirituality”; it needs a concentrated effort to battle scientific illiteracy and those who enable it in favor of their belief systems. It needs less faith and more facts, we need to stop promoting magical thinking and start promoting critical thinging. Anthropogenic climate change isn’t just a scientific fact, it’s a global threat that requires immediate and decisive action, not praying, token gestures and wishful thinking.

Let’s examine the climate, there has been no increase in hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, droughts, wildfires, heatwaves, increased surface temperatures, Arctic melting, or Antarctic melting. There is nothing spiritual about it, there is no “Climate Crisis”

That ‘namasker’ at the end defines the entire speech. Truly wonderful. One small aspect however – spiritualism is also the ability one attains that helps to appreciate that each component on this earth has a ‘quality’ and this knowledge almost immediately makes the heart brim with love and care for each component on this ????. That way a mind is trained and that way the environment is embraced as an extension of our being and every human begins to relate to the fact that each one of us are a unit of the consistent whole. That perhaps is what spiritualism will help mankind to get the ‘skin’ to feel the flaura and fauna. God or religion may be detrimental in some way. Spiritualism is however safe to get trained in. ❤

It is truly unfortunate that pointing out the most obvious problem with “spirituality” is immediately deleted.
All ideas should be open to challenge. All dogmas, including both spirituality and materialism, should be tempered through the heat of criticism.
Instead, the well-founded criticisms get arbitrarily deleted, so readers are denied the opportunity to make considered choices.
That is very disheartening. ????

Science and religion can coexist as they address different aspects of human experience. Science explains the world through observationwhile religion explores transcendent questions and moral values, providing a more holistic understanding when considered in their respective contexts

Notice how its “climate change” now instead of warming. One day they say were all gonna freeze to death …. 30 years of mass flood predictions all have fallen short. On and on… pushing fear. One thing you never hear is the solution. Just remember with out diesel, no fancy iphones, no shoes, clothes, foreign cars and food doesn’t get delivered to grocery stores either. So toss out out your new iphone, imported coffee your sipping on and strip off everything you bought that was made overseas unless you come up with a solution please.
