Apple doesn’t need to compete with Android.

      December 22, 2025 at 8:51 am

Oh YES it does, it’s lagging way behind the Android.

I want companies to feel the need to compete as they would do a terrible job otherwise.

@TheBalkenende Android phones compete with other android phones. Apple is in its own class.

My SE2020 died after 5 years and 6 weeks after APPLE forced the ios26.0 update on me. It was fine running the ios18.5. So I thought I might try android for a year or two. I bought the moto G15 entry level and there is no comparison . The entry level android at a cost of $117.75 USD (bought it in Australia) is out performing the APPLE hands down . I will never switch back to apple and I think that anyone swallowing the apple nonsense and hype is a fool. My whole Facebook market place is filled with people trying to offload their APPLE iPhone 15’s and 16’s and no one wants them. iPhone 17 basic model here in OZ costs $1,400 Australian Dollars. Some idiots are buying the iPhone 17 pro and paying $2,700 Australian dollars for them . I am not surprised that Warren Buffet sold $120 Billion USD of his APPLE Stock in March of 2025. APPLE is no longer the darling of the smartphone world.

What about the Oppo find x9 pro??

    • @MithunOnTheNet

      December 22, 2025 at 1:44 pm

They’re reviewing only phones available in the US. OnePlus is widely available, Oppo isn’t sold in the US.

It’s odd that here in Mexico, other phone brands carry their innovative flagships; meaning I can go out on the streets or Mexico City and see a three story high billboard for the Huawei trifold, so I guess someone is buying it? While also getting the incredibly solid and cheap phones from manufacturers that only sell in emerging economies , like Tekno Mobile or Infinix. It’s a peculiar tech market that I don’t understand how it makes sense

Yes, 17 Pro Max in silver w/ an ESR clear hybrid magsafe compatible case. A bit chunky, but it’s a BEAST.

I agree Fold 7 is incredible and phone of the year.

LOL yall need to stop talking about Android all together. The very fact you had the iPhone Air as the best of anything proves you have ZERO credibility. Just rock with Apple all next year.

iPhone air gave me Flexor tenosynovitis (“trigger finger” spectrum). Watch out for reviewers who don’t mention it. You need to use it for a month or more to detect it.

    iPhone 17 Pro Max 2TB

    Got mine in DEEP BLUE.

    Nothing else even comes close.

    I won’t upgrade again till iPhone 20.

Along with Air Pod Pro 3 and Applewatch Ultra, I’m good!

Got a new iPad yesterday! Love it!
