My office is slated to re-open in September, but I kinda doubt that it will. If it does, that would be six months of working from home and sheltering-in-place.

reduce commute is great and the convinience of home is great but I miss the human connection I have at the office and the problems that takes twice or 3 times the time it takes because of poor remote communication

It might just be me, but I prefer to work at the office. Yes I have the option to choose to work at home but I like the perks that my company offers me working at the office such as free snacks/food, gym, and interacting with colleagues.
