One could argue that English is more assertive, more literal than Spanish. Spanish is very contextually-driven and based on emotions, so it’s perfectly normal to feel like performing in spanish is a bit more difficult.

Very good point. I am reminded of another interesting similar tidbit. Other languages revere Shakespeare because the Shakespearean English is translated into their modern tongue and makes good sense. However, when English speaking people see and hear Shakespeare, it is still presented in the original language and is losing it’s audience in the English speaking world.
