    Step 1, unionize.

Step 2, get the CEO, make ultimatum

Step 3, take over the company. Make it into worker co-op

Well, thanks for the advice. Most of the time it would mean that women will struggle to find a partner who is ready to make equal sacrifices, because so few men are ready to put their career on hold to bring up a child. At least 50 % of men should be ready to do it to keep the world scales balanced.
But then, should the men who do not want to spend their time on bringing up a child even reproduce?

😅 😅 wait what? where are you getting all these from. it is so far from any truth here…

Olesya, I’ve been thinking about this subject a lot lately and your comment intrigued me. Is what you are saying is that men who aren’t going to be stay at home dads shouldn’t have kids? Then, that would go for women, too, right? If a woman has a job outside the home, she shouldn’t reproduce?

But then, if only stay at home parents should have kids, then how will they get money to live?

Or did you mean that it’s ok for women to have children, even if they work outside the home, and it’s only the men who don’t want to be stay at home dads that shouldn’t have kids?

Or did I misunderstand and the stay at home parent question was not even what your comment was referring to? Thank you!

@Jennifer Coopman yes, I am speaking about stay at home parents, but none of the above variants apply, I think. I mean that if both the partners are ready to sacrifice some time from their successful career and stay at home in turn, or together, and both of them are ready to take that responsibility – this is the situation when logical conversations about personal trajectories can happen. If one of the partners is not ready to make this kind of sacrifice and expects the other partner to fully embrace all the responsibility – there is no space for negotiations here, and the advice in the video is pretty much reduced to ‘do not have children with the person who is not going to consider the option of staying at home at all.”

@Olesya Valger I get you now, thank you. To avoid that predicament, a woman would have to suss out the man’s willingness to quit or reduce hours while still in the dating period. A man might have to rethink his masculinity if he wants to be in a relationship with a woman who asks him that question.

Simple — Men should only marry women who are fine with her man leading their relationship. Men should stay away from feminist types. Equality is good in life, but bad in a marriage.

Regardless of how you word it, if you put your needs before the needs of that partnership it ceases to be one. Balance however is defined by the situation, my wife who is very successful in her corporate profession will often proclaim she “wears the pants” in our relationship, I dont challenge this point because our goals are alligned and ultimately I know in a time of crisis, when a big decision has to be made, she will turn to me and say “darling, what do you want to do?”

If a couple doesn’t make a good team, they shouldn’t be a couple; plain and simple. Otherwise the familiarity that breeds contempt will only have resentment added to the mix.

She wants a career? NMFP, is it? I want a career? NHFP, is it? She wants children? OK, she can decide to have children.
She wants children AND a career? Bye bye, not my children anyway, not in this life.
