You can stagger the days people in the store work. One group working the first half of the week and the other working the second half of the week, with some overlap. I think the idea she poses is very doable, even in stores.

If restaurants and grocery stores weren’t open for at least six days a week, 24/7 there would be riots. That applies to most service industries. So this talk is bs

I totally agree with this sentiment. But we all know that this isn’t going to happen anytime soon. Heck America is still doing “Daylight Saving “ most people don’t want this Congress passed a bill but the Senate refuses it. So there’s no way a 4 day work week will happen

If the expectation is to get paid the same for a 4 or 3 day work week I don’t see it working in practice, because there will always be people willing to work more to get ahead. The industry I work in is super competitive, people are paid quite a lot and often work considerably more than 40 hours a week. I’d love to see a world where we can all dedicate more time to our personal pursuits, but right now it’s a fairytale.

I taught at a school that had a four day school week. We went from beginning of August to end of June so the students got all the required minutes. It was a great schedule, teachers took less mental health days. Students’ schedules weren’t messed with for professional development, because it was scheduled on our odd day.

It all sounds good but they don’t pay enough as it is at almost any regular job I was making 1500 a week and it still wasn’t enough that’s 6 days of work a week

Could work for most people.. but not everyone operates on stable working contract.. entrepreneurs.. small businesses.. sub contractors.. 0hour contract part time abuse…how many free hidden hours and risks would drip down to the these workers..?

Do you really think a 3 day work week is realistically possible in this modern day and age? I dont see that happening anytime soon, and even then that would only be possible for VERY specific jobs.

40 hour work week is a necessity to run businesses in profits. Mainly, for the multi-national companies. Instead, however, a four day work with 10 hrs daily should be the norm; so a balance can be maintained between business growth and giving quality time back to the employees with their dear ones or for their growth preparedness.

We need to get rid of salaried jobs. It’s BS that companies expect 60 plus hours out of people just because they are salaried workers.
