Consider protecting your privately owned old and mixed growth forests in a conservation land trust. The future will thank you! ❤️🌲

Great episode! Learned a lot of new things, and that’s not a light statement, as I’m a former wilderness firefighter. More of this please.
I think that the question about the “largest living organism” was about the mushroom that’s virtually an island itself. The largest living organism on Earth is a fungus. Known as the “Humongous Fungus” (Armillaria ostoyae), a single individual in Oregon’s Malheur National Forest covers about 2,385 acres (nearly (3.5) square miles). Most of it lives underground as a massive network of thread-like cells called mycelium.

An under appreciated and vital profession. We’re going to need a lot of foresters to clean up all the messes that corporations are creating. As usual they won’t have to pay for all the negative externalities they create because capitalism. We’ll all have to foot the bill because we can’t hurt the almighty bottom line.

God Trump cultists are so insufferable. If he told them the sky was purple they’d believe it without question and accuse you of hating America if you disagreed.
