The actors don’t need to know the source material to do their job but it helps. However for the writers and directors its crucial in my mind that they do. Otherwise i dont understand who the target audience is. Why make a show/movie based on a game if you’re not making it to appeal to the players, at that point why not just make something original. Thats how i felt about the Halo series anyway so lets hope this fallout series is going to be different

It’s sad that Bethesda got some credit for this but the true creators weren’t mentioned. Of course they were just answering questions to the best of their knowledge, but it still would be important for everyone to know that Bethesda hasn’t had anything to do with the original Fallout universe and that the best games for that series are the ones they had nothing or very little to do with.

Ghouls cannot reproduce because of radiation damage. Super Mutants are also sterile, but that has to do with the FEV virus. It views reproductive cells as damaged as they only have half of a genetic sequence, so when it tries to repair these cells making them inert.

“we will explore the entire world in the 10 seasons that we do this show” I don’t care if they explore the entire world but I’d love to see 10 seasons or a good 6 seasons of 20 episodes! people loose interest in shows fast these days but if they are longer seasons it keeps them more immersed in it with less wait time between seasons
that’s just my thought. In the end I just want to see more content.
As a huge fan of the fallout universe I want to see / play as much as I can before the real fallout happens because these days with how the world is going it seems very probable.

“How can i play fallout online?” Dunno about anywhere else but in the UK at least it seems that FO3 is now available for free until october on your firestick if you have prime. Via the Luna gaming service. Just FYI. (and yes this is technically “online” because you dont play on your local firestick. Its got nowhere near the resources. Its done via streaming like Onlive or google stadia i believe.

I really like that this cast seems familiar with the premise of the games, and Ella knowing 122 vaults off the top of her head.
This is how you do a video game adapted series. It’s not forced or corny. Just feels right.

If you want the opinion of someone who isn’t a normie or 3 kid (I played Fallout 1 and 2 in 2001 when I was 7 and have been a fan of the franchise ever since) The show is fine, in terms of video game adaptations it’s pretty above average (though that is not a hard bar to hit)

7:40 yes but also, basically in the lore the world history lines up w ours up until the 50s around the time of the Cold War. In fallout, it becomes a resource war and not only do we make nuclear bombs but develop a way to harness nuclear energy for everyday use and it essentially lasts forever. Basically insuring the US was aesthetically frozen looking like it’s the 1950s for 127+ years until the bombs dropped.
