    Can space be expanding in an already infinite universe?

    • Sam H.

      October 13, 2023 at 3:08 pm

      Or is it infinite because it’s always expanding 🧐

    • rdizzy1

      October 15, 2023 at 3:13 pm

      The reason is appears to be infinite is because it is always expanding. But even in your view, yes, because all infinites are not equal. Imagine you have infinite on one side and then infinite+1 on the other side, then infinite+2, all infinities are not the same.

      @rdizzy1 the reason it appears to be infinite is because we cannot see beyond a certain point. Similar to how you can’t see beyond horizon. Otherwise we know it is not infinite because it is expanding.

      @neaneoneu nuo Continual expansion=infinite.

    Maybe there is nothing and everything isn’t expanding and instead space is falling into nothing. Dark matter doesn’t exist???????

      Yeah a lot of this is just speculations or theories or some concepts we really don’t know what space is whether it’s spending or not

    The universe can’t possibly be expanding into something forever. There has to be an edge…

    Outside of the expanding universe is something, we just have to figure out what it is…. that’s my guess

    Is it true recent news i saw on internet that they found some distant galaxies whom infrared firm (not sure the therm on English) indicates that according to their age they were created when the energy of the big bang was still a broth of pure energy and there was not yet enough matter that could create galaxies. In other words as i understand can be galaxies older than our big bang. Of course maybe i misinterpreted the news

    All of you scientists are idiots. It is not expanding. It is rolling into itself. Ftom inside out, and back inside again. Like a tornado, or whirpool.

      This centrufigal force is what creates everuthing, mass, gravity, etc. The centrifugal force creates it, not the ither way around. Duh!

    Just say more space is being CREATED. At first, space didn’t exist, then it did and more is being created.

      That would be a guess, and just as a good answer as what he said. Again, nobody knows, so giving your answer wouldn’t make sense.

    I think the spread of space is connected to spead of time if time stop going space will not expand if its go back the space is going together its just the constant which look like spread faster because it contain larger volume of time in space. Amount of events tell the univers how fast it should spread.
